Have anyone heard of the electric supercharger that goes i think inside the intake? Do u think its any good and does anyone make a kit of it?

Basically it's a ripoff. They add no power, and are just junk. Sorry.

It's junk dude. Just stop thinking about it entirely, and trust me on that. Really. Take your interest elsewhere, forget you were ever interested in an electric supercharger. Do it. This advice is solid advice.

Just think about it this way, jam a hairdryer in your intake and see if it doesn't block airflow... you probably can't get the same CFM out of a hairdryer that you could from just letting your engine run without it in the way.Black \'97 Camaro RS See Pics 3.8L, 5 Spd, Disc Rear, Hurst short shifter, MAF Screen Removed, RK Sport Headers, 3\" Cat, 3\" FM American Thunder Catback, Compcams .512/.507, (2x)275/40/17 Khumo 712(front) (2x)285/40/17 Good Year F1 GS-D3 (back).

In theory, it is an interesting idea. You could convievably build an electrically driven air pump, and run it off the car's electrical output to produce boost, however...
1. The amount of energy required to produce boost in the intake system is pretty big. You would need an extremely powerful electric motor in order to drive the impeller fast enough to create the pressure differential. This would be very expensive, a couple hundred dollars.
2. You would need a massive amount of electrical power in order to do this. so you would either need a more powerful alternator (difficult to wire in and work with in a car), or a second alternator, dedicated ONLY to powering the DC motor on the charger (large amounts of custom fabrication), or some type of power transformer, that can allow a high power device to work off of lower power inputs. None of these is very easy or simple to work with in a car's electrical system.
3. You would also have to have a very large amount of room in which to house the motor and supplementary power supplies.
In almost all circumstances, the mechanical counterparts of electrical superchargers are more efficient, smaller, more powerful, and more easily integrated into a car's engine.
So, at least for now, electrical superchargers are a ripoff, simply because they do not have any capacity to work. so the earlier posts are correct, its just a rip, so stay away from them.Property of Dave Hamburger

I actually saw pictures of a guy who did that. Put a DC/AC inverter in his car, and was running 110 volt AC power to two leaf blower motors, one kept on low speed, one on high speed. I guess he was going for the twin turbo impression.
As I recall, he didnt get hardly any gain from it. The whole thing looked as ghetto as hell.Property of Dave Hamburger
