IM NOT CUTTING DOWN THE STRENGTH OF THE BLOCK, IM SAYING ITS ALOT OF WORK ESPECIALLY FOR THE L36, SINCE IT CANNOT HANDLE THE SAME PRESSURE AS THE L67 AND THE AMMOUNT OF POWER MADE AT A SAFE MAXIMUM FOR A TURBO STOCK L36 IS LESS OF THAT THEN A LIGHTLY MODDED LS1, THE POWER MADE AT 7-9 PSI WOULD BE CLOSE TO THE LT1 SS CARS. 280-290 RWHP, WHICH IS QUITE FAST, AND OF COURSE TWEAKING MORE POWER OUT OF A TURBO L36 CAN BE DONE, BUT ITS NOT REALLY WORTH IT IN MY OPINION.
AGAIN... A TURBO V6 IS A NICE STREET CAR. ID TAKE ONE ANYDAY, BUT ITS NUTHING CLOSE TO A TURBO V8 OR WELL MODDED V8.
40 PSI ON THE 3.4, LOL YEA YOU SHOULDNT EVEN BE ON THIS SITE, YOU SHOULD BE ON THE GRAND AM OWNERS CLUB TALKING ABOUT WAYS TO FIX A 3.4 AFTER THE ENGINE COMPLETELY CRUMBLES, WHICH IT WILL... I HAVE KNOWN A FEW TURBO GRAND AM GUYS THAT WHERE RUNNING 11'S CONSISTANTLY FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. THEN THERE ENGINES SLOWLY TURNED TO SH*T

You're a fu(king idiot. As said before you spout off like you know **** about these cars. I would venture to say that the 3.4L is even stronger than the 3.8L when it comes to boost. And the 3400 and the L32 are two different engines. Basically it boils down to the fact that you need to STFU.---
-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

It 3.4 might be stronger but not that strong... if the 3.8 was so strong why havent they worked a good executed market for a turbocharger kit for these cars years ago? the 4g63 in the eclipses is very strong, stronger than the L36... why doesnt everyone just buy a boost controller and crank up the boost to 20 psi on an eclipse? because it will blow up. you can tune all you want and claim your pushing X ammount of psi into an engine the fact is the more you take away from timing the more you take away from making the power you should be at. you cant run on pump gas with high compression, everyone knows the stock rods suck, and the pistons will break, even the L67 pistons will crumble with high boost and pump gas. who the heck would want to use high octane all the damn time. you sound like one of thoese eclipse/supra kids out there saying "show the v8 boys a thing or two" because thats all you will show someone is a thing or two and kaboom racing against a stock 8 isnt much of a battle for any well modded 6 cylinder cars, even 4 cylinder cars can a stock v8, you really dont need high boost to get your car into the cobra or z06 area.
10-12 psi, cam, high flowing intake, heads, good flowing exhaust, lighten up your car, agressive gearing and good traction will take you into the promised land , GTP's already do it, safely, 3.4 can do the same, its been proven, grand ams have made some big numbers. i can see where this is going, everyone is goign to want to run high boost off the bat, if that is so why don't GTP/regal owners just crank up the boost.
like i was saying the v6 has potential but i just dont see the sense in tuning it into 12 second car, when you can put a ls1 into 11's with bolt-ons and a little engine work. so dont hate me because of my opinions, i will own another v6 one day, and i will most likely make it as fast as a stock v8 if not a little fast, see the thing is i dont live in a town full of sleepers and rice, no doubt it would be very fun to own a fast turbo v6, because for every 1 civic i see here, i see 10 GTP's, for every one grand am i see, i 5 mustangs,
but...... for every 1 crx i see, i see 10 corvettes, for every one non turbo eclipse, i see 5 porches and tons and tons of irocs and LT1 f-bodys, rarely do i see a LS1 camaro roaming around, there are quite a few LS1 trans ams but they are all old people.
we got lambos here and ferraris, lots vipers on sunny days, those porches are the worst, they are those 13 second lowest model porches all over screeming the tires thinking they own the road, for a 6 cylinder they are monsters, but for me to create a turbo v6 camaro is not enough for a funstreet/strip car, because before i know it, those damn porches will waste me, so will the modded vettes, thats why i need the power of 8 cylinders. maybe you guys in more rural areas are looking to waste them other v8's out there, but up here we got rich kids all over ridin in show room cars constantly. but like i said a a turbo v6 would be quite nice for a daily driver

Mr. Swift, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent responses were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this message board is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.Matt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com

consistant low 14 seconds is alot faster than most people think. just dont expect a v8

I agree 99%, excepting only that I wish for no mercy...
The more I read from Swift the more I must imagine he's built all kinds of cars. Then I remember he probably has only opened the hood of his car to clean the engine bay before taking it to Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed for him. The toolin' continues...

Where in the hell does such a place exist in WISCONSIN! I live next to Dallas and don't see nicer cars that often. You probably see lots of cows and cheese and whatnot...on sunny days as well. So have fun, eh(*wisconsin accent*).
Oh and sorry to hear you hate my 3.4l. Please stand in front of it one day on my way (or back from) 'the promised land' and let me know how it runs. People like you are who WE are out to prove wrong my man. ;) \'95 Camaro 3.4L A4 Rikku
AutoX - Drift - Street
\"Sideways is faster.\"
