Initial turbo kit release!

uhhhhh......yea. I've read through all of the replies for here. What originally was a post for Tiago's Turbo Kit is now Swift-bashing and debate about how much Psi our cars can take. I have a (mostly) stock 3.8, and I for one am interested in this kit. The thing is that Tiago probably stopped checking this message because most of it is irrelevant to the original subject. Things need to be said, sure, but not here.

Tiago, I hope you check this, because after reading the few relevant posts I had some questions that were asked by others but not answered (I don't blame you for not checking).

1) How much for the install (estimated) for the kit if it can't be done manually (I know nothing about welding).

2) Will the kit be available without the turbo, intercooler, BOV, etc. I mean just the piping?

its ahrd to say how much the install woudl be, I figure it would take at MOST, 8 hrs.

eventually I want ot make the piping available but right now I can't do that.

look, i dont want too come off looking liek a d*ck here! lets try too keep this thread on topic. if this kid doesnt want the kits and thinks that what we are doing is stupid, then that is his opinion. if he thinks that i am an idiot then let him. let him say that i havent maxed out a 2bar boost gauge. let him say my turbo is too big. let him kill himself trying too work on the ls1 internals.

this thread isnt about how an ls1 is fast. that is common knowledge. it is a nasty motor in a nasty car. but why fight what we are doing with the kits?? tiago, jesse, dom, josh, 12secv6, magnus, myself, and many others are pushing what the 60* and 3800 can do and we are willing the battle. trying too help out people that have the money too mod cars but not for 8 cyllinders cars and insurance. i take pride in what i do with cars and it kills me too read all this nonsense with people saying that i am not doing what i say. tiago's car could easily go into the deep 12's if not 11's right now if he had a good clutch and tires, but that stuff happens. i expect too go deep into the 11's at least. but it is jsut a v6.

i have spent soo many damn hours on my car and i am doing this for everyone on these boards as well as the our company. but he doesnt get that. a 60* wont hold up too 40psi??? well, i think i am going too call bs on that one. i will go out and start my car right now if you would like. and it has seen roughly 40 (my gauge only reads too 30)

so as a business man- i hope that one day you will realize that turbo is the way too go and you can go as fast as you want with one

as a loyal v6 enthusiast- your a ****ing idiot that should be banned from all sites because all you do call bullshti and call people liars. and dont call bs with me again because you are on the losing team on this one!!!

I have a question here....

How come most of the turbo kits i have looked at on v6 f-bodies do not incorperate an air cleaner on the turbo?

for track use i can understand this, but for street use, not using an air filter on something that is drawing so much outside air in would seem like it would really F up your engine after you suck in enough dirt and bugs.

Believe me the air cleaners are there. The pictures you have seen just dont have them installed. They are probably the most vital part of the entire system. A fly turd could completely ruin the impeller ripping the turbo and your car a part. Trust me, the air filters are there...

Now you know how i felt...how it feels to have your hard work and time bashed by ignorance and imaturity.

Look, i know we've had our differences in the past but i think that was brought on by being pulled into a thread and conversation that wasn't our own to begin with. I bet if we had met in different circumstances our opinions of eachother would be different.

I just want to say that i think its awesome that you guys have a turbo kit out for our cars and i know how hard it is to get something developed and done. Keep up the good work and don't listen to the "Doubting Thomas's" of the world. Let the results speak for themselves.
