I'd go with a straight T04/E, which I think is the same turbo in the Ford Powerstroke Diesel. The 3.8 has enough exhaust pressure to turn a T04 compressor and you will probably get better efficiency with increased exhaust flow through the compressor. A T3/4 hybrid would spool a bit quicker but you wouldnt get the most effective use of it. Good luck!

i think the to4 series is almost ideal for the 3.4/3.8. it isnt a huge enourmas turbo and it still makes great power. it is an all around workhorse of a turbo!!
boost, you got it???

would not mind that at all, now the TO4 makes more power then the T3/T4 hybrid i take it so, so wouldnt that more then likely give me a better time and i remember watchin a video of a supra with t51r blow the h*ll of a mustang now is that a good turbo to go with or just stick between the TO4 and T3/T4 hyrid when i go to buy the turbocharger?

Why do you need a turbo when you have a tornado?

At 9psi of boost you wouldn't even feel the difference between a t04 or t3/t4 if you have a properly setup system!!
A t3/t4 hybid .60/.63 is a base line to start with on a 3800 v6 stock!!
