Hey guys I was wondering if any of you knew the HP numbers the average stock GTP Grand Prix puts down? Is comparable to lets say a ProCharger or a Powerdyne supercharger with the same amount of boost? I ask this because I have seen like about 3 articles on the Powerdyne that put like 260hp down the wheels with 9lbs on a basically stock motor. The thing is, if this is true and the GTP L67 is rated at 240hp either its not as powerful or its underrated. Thanks for the help just trying to get the info straight on the HP from these types of superchargers. [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

I don't know all the stats, but did you take into acount that the L67 has an 8.5cr and the L36 is at 9.4. That should mean the GTP would need more boost to equal the standard 3.8w/sc.

That and a downtuned cam. Plus the L67 is a roots blower, not a centrifugal like the Powerdyne, ATI, or Vortech. Roots is great for low-end torque but falls flat at high rpm.
The L67 w/Eaton M90 was designed for reliability, not power. And GM succeded there, as far as quality is concerned, it's probably the most reliable forced induction application ever mass produced. But in true high power applications, centrifugal is most efficient.
