The new MAF is on the car (after the BOV in a sraight section of the pipe before the TB). I've been running 10-12 PSI all day playing with tuning. Now just to work out some bugs and a few odd things, get her dynoed again and hit the track

I just read your post elsewhere on the new MAF and how it is going. So this one is maxxed out as well. I'm not surprised at all. By putting on a MAF that simply has more physical airflow capacity (but not the correct programming) will solve nothing, as you have proven with your latest readings from the MAF. You are still going to have the exact same issues as before. If it is in good shape you might be able to return it though. As soon as you go to the speed density option from HPtuners or have your factory MAF recalibrated, all will be well in the tuning universe. I'm not 100% sure, but I guess you could try to have your new SLP MAF recalibrated to suit your needs since you have it already.

I should read before I post.
But GN I still think your wrong. He more than doubled the amount of boost he was able to run. Thats something.

You've been proven wrong, why do you insist on making yourself look stupid? I refuse to beleive that anyone who owns a 10sec GN could be that dumb. You must be trying to piss people off. Good luck with that.

I do believe it's you going around telling everyone that all their problems will be fixed if they just upgrade the MAF. Hmmm... who was it who was proven wrong here again? Why do YOU insist on being so stupid? You must be trying to be the premier tuning expert on this board. Good luck with that
Linxs: It sucks about the MAF with the lower IATs. But, it just goes to show, that the guy who thinks you don't need long term fuel trims or O2 sensors on a daily driver/street car is the last damn person you should be taking advice from. You might be able to get that SLP MAF recalibrated, but if not, i'll have info on getting the stock one recalibrated(which i know for a fact can be done) in the next few weeks. I do mean a real deal recalibration, not just changing the values in the pcm. Unlike Phoenix, who just deletes components from the computer instead of fixing things, and then claims to be an expert, i (and my pals at the speed shop you called a couple weeks back) have been working on a real world solution to the MAF issue. My MAF is right on the border of being maxed currently, and really the only thing keeping me at 10-12psi is that i live in the thin air up here (less absolute pressure = less volume). You've been working in the right direction the whole time, and i do think your car has alot of potential.. once we figure things out on our end, i'll keep you in the loop as to what works for us.

One side note, The reason why I do not want to do an SD tune on my car is because noone can tell me why the VE table (for the 97 M5's) is straight 80. By this I mean, every cell in the VE table is 80. I have checked 2 other stock tables (and one other tuned cars table, again only the 97 M5's have this). I'd like to know why, when every other year has different values in their VE table. To do a proper SD tune the VE table has to be tuned. I just don't know how this will affect the car.
Lets try to keep it clean guys. I know people have different opinions about how to tune. Maybe it's right and maybe it's wrong; It all come down to is it working for you .Patrick<br />Sick Sixx Member<br /><b>97 Mystic Teal Camaro</b><br />425RWHP @14PSI<br />Old setup:<br />330RWHP @7PSI 13.9 @ 106.6 <a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=4\" target=\"_blank\">Mods</a>

I have never claimed to be an expert. My car works, but I have always made it clear that I don't want people to follow my lead.
My only intention was to help people not be seen as a tuning know it all, unlike some people, and their egos. My problem is I listend to SLP, ZZP, and Intense. How was I supposed to know that three different multi-million dollar performace retailers would all have the wrong information?
BTW it doesn't seem that they were completly wrong. He was maxing at 5psi before, and 12psi now. So he must have gained some flow.
Edit: Teufel you were the one that said you could just change the values in the PCM, not me.

So where is this place that we can get our maf recalibrated at? Would there be shops in the NY area that could do it? I'm just curious because I'm a few weeks away from getting my car done and I'd like to run 10 psi. Could I get away with just using an LS1 maf with 10 psi for now?

tdz16: As for when you'll max out your MAF, it just depends on how much air you're flowing. I can't run more than 12psi, and i'm using a TO4 based turbo.1998 Camaro, Arctic White<br /><br />Garrett P-Trim T04 turbo<br /><br /><i>348rwhp, 379.5rwtq @ 10psi</i>

I am going to run a similar maf in a suck through design and dont think I will have a problem. I plan on running 10 psi eventually and maybe like 15 at the track in the fall if everything goes alright. I really dont like the design of our stock maf and will feel much better with a full maf instead of one that samples the air.
Recalibrating the stock maf does sound like it will be a good option, good luck with it.92 S10 3800 A4(96)<br />1/4: 14.374 @ 92.25 w/ 1.976 60\'<br />Turbo and 12\'s Coming Soon!

Doesn't anyone else think its a little strange that SLP, ZZP, and Intense have been selling these for years, and now they don't work?Turbocharged and intercooled.<br />17psi(oops), stock fuel pump, no FMU<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64</a> <br />Video: <a href=\"ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com\" target=\"_blank\">ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com</a> Assorted car ****: TurboCamaroFull.
