If i spend bocu money on an expensive s/c, and in 2005 (when the new camaro's comeout i hope ) could i buy a z28 and throw it on there, or do i lose that investment more or less?
I know not everything would be the same, and new parts would have to be ordered, i'm just new at this "s/c game" and wanted to plan more for the long term future considering the price.

There are different factors that would affect it. If you got a supercharger for your V6, and had it mounted infront of the engine, you would need to mount it like that also on your Z28, because you have a reversed mounted.
If you were able to do that though, you could probably be able to use the head unit (the most expensive part), and the guages you get for it, but for as the brakets and plumbing, very doubtful you would be able to switch over any. But you could alway fabricate those, or have it done somewhere else.
I think I saw where the s/c manufacturers will reverse the flow for something like $250. Might have been in some of the info on Stefan's site.
So then you would have the head unit, and if you had the ati v6 kit, you could probably reuse the intercooler too, which is another really expensive component.
Then you would mainly need v8 brackets and intake tubing, which you would probably be able to get from the s/c kit manufacturer fairly cheap, or fabricate. You can get flexible silicon 4" tubing that is designed for supercharging and brake ducting applications. www.ihozs.com is the one I found with the most selection. Brackets would probably carry over from earlier years.
In the back of my mind, I sometimes think along those lines with my car. I spent $1500 on the exhaust, and now looking at another $4k on the supercharger kit. Seems like a lot of money to tie up in a particular car. It would be nice to be able to transfer that over to a v8 car one day, or drop a v8 in my car and carry over the high dollar mods to the new engine... Preserving the investment, if I ever trade up.
Even if I don't go that route, I feel better about spending the money when I rationalize it like this.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
