I just saw it, and, no offense to BATMAN, but will probably buy it, just cause it's ready now, and i wont have to test it.2001 3.8l
Monsoon 500 watt
Automatic tranny
http://members.cardomain.com/1hotv6

No Ive seen that kit advertised there for at least 2 years now. Personally Id wait for the ATI SC that BATMAN and co. are working on. Im sure you will be able to get much better gains with this kit off your stock engine than if you went with the Vector Powerdyne kit (Im assuming thats the one you mean). Theres some people on this board that have it. Ask them what they think about it and if you should invest in it now. But I know I can wait another year to get something that will be 10 times better than that kit will ever be.

Noone is dumb over something like this Jason Morgan, that's really not necessary. They simply haven't read those posts.
Here are the problems as I know it from that rksport charger:
-Runs off the flat side of the belt, making anything more than 6psi impossible due to slipping(unless if you got a belt w/ ribs on both sides, in which case you would have to change several pullies)
-No intercooler, so not nearly as much potential as the ATI system batman is developing.
-Batman's system will be just slightly more expensive.
Overall, I see much more potential in Batman's system. He is using an ATI supercharger capable of 600+hp, it blows powerdyne's (RKSport) out of the water in terms of max boost. RKSport has no intercooler, which would cost you a good 1k to buy, install & pipe. Then you would need to replace pullies and get a double ribbed belt to run over 6psi, another few hundred dollars.
All in all, you will spend upwards of 2 grand over & above the cost of the RKSport system bringing it up to the quality (except the head unit -- or the supercharger itself -- which will remain inferior) of Batman's sytem.2001 75th Anniversary V6 Pewter Firebird w/ Chrome Wheels, T-Tops, & Y87
Mods: Free Ram Air, !Silencer, Holley Filter, Full 3\" Hooker Catback, 3\" Cat
Best time: 15.095 at 90.00 MPH with a 2.127 60\'

No doubt the ATI will be a great system once done. But the Powerdyne Sys. is not bad for a power adder. I'm pretty satified with mine and wouldn't trade it. Shirl is one of those who races with it and done well.
I've seen Vortech, ATI, and Novi. I notice the Powerdyne's pulley spins alot easier and has a better bottom end boost that goes linear through out the rpm range. From the people I've talked to who has these SC say that their has a lag. Less parasitic loss as well with the PD.
For those of you who are thinking of going beyond 7lbs-8lbs of boost on a stock engine,I say you are in for a suprise. I'll just leave you that thought. Been there, done that!! ;)

sorry people arnt dumb they are just ignorent and lazy. It says to SEARCH before you post a topic.if they had typed powerdyne or hell supercharger and read any of the post they would know. We wouldnt be wasting bandwith on the same topics for instance ummmm hell high flow cats there are frigin 2 topics about it in exasght forum. tell me why whats so difficult about a high flow cat the only questions you might could ask are: did it help? what size to get? did you lose lowend torque(lol thats such a dumb question)? common if you did a search you could find a **** load of usefully stuff. sorry but it pisses me off to see the same questions asked over and over i think it is pissing the admins off to as you will notice the technical archive which they have started lol what really gets me mad though is when someone post a topic and the answeres to all there question are in a post right below it labled SUPERCHARGER. grrrrrrrrrr sorry venting there are just some lazy *** people and ignorent sorry thats how i feel. (im not just talking about this thread there are lots of stupid threads like this dont take it personally)
stefan ran 10 lbs there is no suprise and since you have been to 8 lbs what is the suprise
and if you plan to go fast dont get it look at what shirl has had to do to go fast she had to add nitrous so ummm theres anther 500-1000 bucks there. the procharger will be intercooled(unlike powerdyne) if you are going for all out speed and records dont get the powerdyne it wont get you there you will need more sure you can probly beat GT's and maybe LT1's but um looking to pull LS1's on the highway thats just evil
its not forced induction if its taken willingly lmao

about the slipping on the belt with the vector supercharger... couldnt you just put a thin coat of some sticky stuff to keep it from slipping? has anyone ever thought of something like that?96 Camaro M5. There had been some ideas of putting "sticky stuff" or glue but in the end I believe all of the ideas were left behind because too many problems persisted. Putting any kind of substance on the pullies or belts will eventually wear out and thats just a fact.Email: Preki1212@hotmail.com

They have. It doesn't last long. Also they have thought about roughing up the pulley, but that eats the belt up. The main problem, in trying to drive a compressor at 10,000 to 30,000 rpm to push that much air at that pressure, unless you can get a whole lot of belt contact, it's gonna slip. More contact by wrapping around more of the pulley, or going ribbed, or a wider belt, or some combination of all three. One person was experimenting with a second crank pulley and a dedicated belt just for the s/c. Didn't pan out though.
If you've ever had an alternator not put out enough because of a loose belt, it's the same kinda thing. It turns, but under load it slips some. And the alternator doesn't need nearly the same force as the s/c. It will turn, but only so fast.
Chain drive might be an idea, get a motorcycle sprocket and chain, hmmm... It would make a heck of a mess under there if/when it broke though, taking wires and hoses and radiator with it I would imagine. Definitely would not slip though!\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

For someone who vent about being lazy and ignorant about doing research, you certainly didn't do yours. Stephan has a lowered his compression ratio and has GTP stuff to his motor. So basically his motor is capable of going up 15-17 lbs of boost and no danger in that.
Has far as Shirl is concern, she has ran high 13 sec. with the PD before she got NOS. The Two Ed's I know in Cali. who got there PD the same place I did, Vector Perf., has ran high to mid 13. And speaking of beating an LS1, I've done that already. I've yet to race a Ram Air one and see how I do.

What are you running right now?
I saw several lightly modded(ie K&N, intake, etc) 2000 SS Camaros running last night and the best time I saw was 13.25. That might help give you an idea of how you would do.

I don't have any track times. The LS1 I beat was bone stock driven by a teenager and at that time I only had two mods: PD and Borla. I do plan to go to the tracks and dyno tested as well as soon as I get the other mods so that way it would be legit to say what I'm running.
