  • question about xb-1a?

hi~ long time no post here..

hmm my powerdyne had so much problem.

so i rebuild my kit many time..

but the inner belt was broken whenever i rebuild.

hmm it might be bov(blow fo valve) problem..

anyway.. im so tired about rebuild my kit~

and i want to go with higher boost~

i used to use 7psi.. it was good just for me..

    but.. the supercharger was problem..

so i will go with xb-1a of powerdyne..

i heard its gear driven.. and it makes highe boost

hmm but i heard there still have some problem

    about bearings...

any information about xb-1a will be very thanks.

but now i dont know. how is going..over there..

    thanks..

The XB-1a is a good head unit and it will mount on the existing brackets that you have now. The only thing is, you have to add oil lines to your fuel tank.

But remember, you'll experience more belt slippage with the gear driven one than with the belt one. But it shouldn't be that bad.

It does flow more air than the BD-11a even with the same pulley. It's rated over 1200 cfm. So it's good for race application. The drawback, it heats up alot more than the BD-11a because it's gear driven and uses oil. So it loses efficiency, but an intercooler can fix that. Which is something you already have.

Yeah, go for it and be the first one among us to have it. It you give us a positive feedback, I might go for it.

I'm thinking he meant to say oil pan.

Opps sorry Billy. Yes oil pan. I just finish installing my intank pump. That's probably why I'm thinking fuel today.

mighty thor~ i read you interested in xb-1a..

hehet~ but i thought maybe somebody in here..

use xb-1a already. but now i think...

xb-1a is also new to here..

hmm i asked xb-1a to 928motersports about price.

so they said it will go 2600$

            i think.. its expensive. hehet~

if i order it, i have to pay 3600$ more(total

            shipping tax etc)

its big money for me hehet~ ^^

            i need 14-20psi~ boost

my engine can controle that much of boost~

so i dont mine any kind of supercharger and even

            turbo setting.. in 3600$

if i get 14-20psi boost safely i will be ok~

            hehet~ ^^;

if paxton or vortec..head unit is under 2600$

            and make 14-20psi boost safely..

it will be ok~ for me..

            how should i do?
