I was wondering what the Powerdyne crowd sees on your fuel pressure gauge at WOT under boost? (This is with the inline pump installed) The instructions for the kit say around 70psi is optimal. At WOT my needle is buried at 100psi. At idle and cruise it's around 44psi.
I think I have maxed out my injectors as sometimes the car bucks bad and other times it looses all power like the fuel is cut off. My injector pulse widths are at 32 millaseconds and I thought 20 was max.
I agree I need more injector, I have a set of stock LT1 24lb injectors on the shelf, just picked them up last night. I'm going to try those next. I just thought my fuel pressure is very high, the needle on the gauge is maxed out, heck it could be over 100. I trust the gauge since it's a $200 full sweep autometer one. Before I installed the inline pump I couldn't get over 50psi at WOT with the FMU and it was running lean. After I put the pump on it's instant 100psi at WOT.
The intank pump is still stock but I have a Walbro 255 lt/hr on the shelf if I need it. I'm using the pump that came with the blower, it's the same inline pump used on the LT1 kit also but I have no idea who makes it for Powerdyne.
Keith has had real good results from his Walbro pump and plenty of fuel. They are only about 90 bucks too.
From talking to the local V8 guys the intank pump supports good flow while an inline pump will provide you with high PSI if you need it for a dry kit or a blower.
I'll go to the track after I get this problem figured out and can get it tuned. I can't make it through 3 gears without the fuel cutting out or completely off. 1st and 2nd gear are a lot of tire spin but as soon as there is load on the motor it just dies.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
