    So I set my transmission to hold gear and the converter locked till WOT without down shifting. So I can get full boost at pretty much any RPM. I love the lowend torque, but...

    I'm getting a lot of what I beleive is false knock. I turned the boost down from 8-4psi, made no difference, reducing timing makes no difference, tried A/F 10.5:1 and 12.5:1 doesn't change anything.

    Knock is the worst 1500-1700RPM, even with negative timing I'm seeing 6* of retard. By 1800-2000RPM, it clears up quite a bit, by 2300, timing is pretty normal.

    Any thoughts on what might be causing this, or if it is indeed false knock?

    2 questions:
    Does it feel like the car is losing power during this time?
    And
    Have you adjusted your tourqe settings for each gear?

      yeah, that dosent make sence.. when are you getting the knock? when you first start moving? or whe nyou are crusing or both?

      thats ALOT for down there..

      does your car rattle? exhaust leeks? crap like that?

        Yeah you can feel it losing power, but thats because the computer is all of a sudden pulling 6* I think, so it kind of surges a little. I'm not "hearing" any pinging.

        I have greatly increased torque reduction between shifts, but thats all I have modified. I don't use much throttle between shifts anyways due to slipping tranny. Torque in gear is a max of 999lbft?

        The knock is at 40-60% throttle at 1500-1800RPM. It only knocks under full boost, heavy load. No knock at cruise, or when not under boost.

        No exhaust leaks, or rattles. Had a slight header leak, but I fixed it last night, and no difference, although it sounds better.

        Odd note, the average knock is 0 at high throttle, while the max knock is at 6* so you can see that its not knocking all the time.

          Must be false knock, advanced the timing, and it decreased?

          On a side note, my car seems to like 4psi, with the timing closer to stock, vs 8psi with lots of timing pulled out. Definitly keeping it turned down.
