gotta pay to play. To get that much rwhp out of a v6 is gonna take a good amount of cash. The powerdyne probably could eventually net that much, but it's going to take a lot of air and supporting mods (which equals more than $2k...)AIM: Alientr8tr
1998 Camaro 3.8L
Flowmaster 80-series, !FRA, Eibach Springs, KYB AGX, SLP sway bars, 3.42/LSD, Wings West kit, Z06 Motorsports, Silverstone Metallic paint
Shift 5 - My Band

you could switch to the other powerdyne headunit that requires you to tap your oil pan and then crank the boost much higher than the normal sc you see for the v6s. I think it is called xb-11a headunit our something like that. Anyways you can crank the boost higher on that headunit

however, the internal gear drive xb-11a can cause more slippage between the serpintine belt and blower pulley as opposed to the easier turning (less internal resistance) of the belt driven bd-11a blower unit.
for two thousand dollars you are talking used. nothing wrong with that. keep an eye on ebay and this forums for sale section as well. they come up now and then.
I converted a 95-97 kit to my straight throttle body 2001 car. That is no big deal...great way to save a couple grand if you only have a 95-97 kit available.
the bd11a is only built to sustain 11-12 psi...not much higher than that.
It sounds like you have a big goal. as earlier posts already stated...9-10 psi from a powerdyne will help get you there...but you will need many other mods. Mybe keep track of ssm's current thread regarding his recent intercooler install...he is going to post his dyno run very soon. He has a pretty beefy sytem with port/polished, cam work, 9psi pulley, etc. His numbers might give you some good insight.

First i would like to ask where you pulled the 4-500 hp number from. Have you ever driven a car with that much power? You have got to have respect for the power you put down. Now that said, if you want to get that much power you are going to have to spend upwards of 7K. the quickest way to do it would be to go with a turbo system running about 12+psi (and everything that goes allong with that), pnp heads and intake, lower your cr to under 9:1, cam, and a forged 4.1 stroker, followed with a high dose of HPTuners. This is not an easy number to reach but it is attainable.
