Hey guys, I'm building a twin turbo kit for my car and I need to know which injectors to upgrade to. Would 22 lb. injectors be enough for say 15psi? How far could I go w/ 22's? And since I'm buying injectors anyways, should I just go for more? Lemme know what you guys think, thanks.

What injectors should I use?

Taking care of the entire fuel delivery system would be the best thing to do since you're gonna run twin-turbos. A walboro in-tank fuel pump, bigger fuel lines, an adjustable fpr, larger fuel rails, higher flow fuel filter, and at least 36 lb. fuel injectors. also, a stand alone fmu and computer will allow you to fine tune air/fuel, fuel pressure, spark advance, boost, ect.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

Thanks for the input. Yes I'm going to take care of the whole fuel system, but I'm only buying a part at a time. I'm looking at getting a Vortech Adjustable FMU right now as well as those injectors. I guess 22lb ones wouldn't be enough then. Looks like I gotta keep on lookin'. I figured for 50 bucks for the whole set, I'd be all good.---
-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

For 15psi, 22lb injectors will NOT be anywhere close to enough.
I'm trying to design a single turbo setup for the 3.4L and I calculated that 24lb injectors would be the minimum for 8psi of boost and that 26lb injectors would be preferable.
As for the rest of the fuel system, just be sure to get an inline fuel pump to increase the line pressure.
FMU's are OK but aren't completely consistent when it comes to giving the proper amount of fuel. I much better solution would be to go with a complete custom PCM tuning.
BTW which turbo's have you decided to use with your setup?

Well I plan on going with an inline fuel pump and a fmu. Obviously you need to have the pressure there for the fmu to regulate it, so both are a necessity.

TD04-9B's from the Stealth R/T Turbo/3000GT VR4. The reason I'm using these is I'm getting a deal on them. Both turbo's and 2 intercoolers for 400 bucks! :D---
-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

From my initial inspection of the compressor map those look to be a pretty good choice.
The only problem I can potentially see is that you might bypass the surge limit in a twin setup.
I'll run the numbers for you when I get home so I can tell you for sure.

Thanks, the main reason for me starting with those turbo's are the price. I can set up my system with them and then later on upgrade along the Mitsubishi line of turbo's and go w/ a 16G or something like that.

Ok, I ran the numbers vs a compressor map and with those turbos you should be ok in terms of the surge limit.
The efficiency of the turbo's should also be above about 68% throughought most of the RPM range.
Its rather hard to exactly predict HP gains but I CAN give you a range.
Low estimate: 320HP
High estimate: 473HP
The low estimate is probably much closer to what you will see depending on what other work you have done to the engine. I assume you are doing a rebuild?
You have to choose fuel injectors based on your expected HP. Again I'll give you a range based on my above estimates.
Low estimate: 30lb/hr
High estimate: 44lb/hr
Again I recommend custom computer programming over an FMU. From information I've gotten from several sources FMU's simple aren't as consistent with their fuel delivery as the computer is so with the FMU there is the chance of going lean and destroying something in the engine.
If you are designing a turbo setup go buy: Maximum Boost Designing, Testing and Installing Turbocharger Systems by Corky Bell.

Sure :D Hell, you live in IL, you could probably come up and see them if you wanted!
Thanks for running the numbers for me nova. I'll probably look for some 34lb. injectors. The little bastards are expensive!---
-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

You might look into a used set of GTP injectors. They are 36lb injectors. Should be good to over 400HP.

Wow, that'd be awesome, thanks for the suggestion. Can you give me some grand prix forum websites where I might get to buy some stock injectors from someone? Or do you know of anywhere I can get them cheap?---
-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

Seems you already found the forum... ;) Sometimes they pop up for sale there. Good luck. I have also seen some on ebay before. Also, you might call around the salvage yards.
