That seems about right for a t3/t4 hybrid. I should do just fine. I look forward to hearing from you about your times. To me this is still a good kit, unfortunately do to fabrication problems it took way to long to get to the purchasers.

I'm hoping for low 13's possibly 12's with performance street tires. I know with slicks I could get some awsome 60 foot times, but thoughs 60 foots don't really concern me too much. I just want power and lots of acceleration after the launch.
I asked some people in this yahoo car chat room about turbo specs and they started telling me that the t3/t04e is too small for a 3800, and my engine is garbage, and Garrett doesn't make a 60 trim compressor for the t3/t04e, and blah blah blah.

Yea, or you run into the cocky mustang guys. They seem to talk endlass crap.
But onto the subject...
Explain your experience's with turbo sizes. Which ones felt like they created boost at a useless rpm. And which ones felt like they were creating it at a delayed time.
It is a small turbo on a 3800 v6 and that is an honest answer you also have to remember you are using a stick so you can load the motor quite different from an A4...
Not saying you cannot use it...the turbo will spool within the ~1900-2200RPM range...and probably plateau around ~4600-4900RPM. If you are interested in low end then this is the unit for you...mid range will also be very strong due to the stock cam...anywayz you will know where you are once you have everything button'd up...if you don't like it, you can always change the compressor head to a .60 and get a bigger wheel...up to you! have fun...

accualy it spools and 2600-2800 and does not fall out at the top end
do a seach for radcat dyno graphs or look on FFF web site... only reason it cuts out on the top end is the speed limiter kicked in

I don't know what Radcat's configuration is but a .50 a/r on the cold side is a little on the small side...couple that with the torquey .63...that is a recipe for low-end and a plateau at the top...
stock GN are .60/.63 with a ~46mm compressor wheel and those engines don't want to flow for ...ish stock!! now take a smaller head unit with a better flow characteristics?
Not debating power, not debating whether the turbo is "right"...all I am conveying is the turbo is suited for low-end if that is what 'floats ones boat'...then by all means use it...but it will NOT support top-end on 231ci...Period!
