• Need some help (powerdyne people come in here)

So.. I was doing a test install of the powerdyne kit yesteday..

and well.. it went ok.. I was somehow missing one of the spacers that goes over the thread rod.. hopefully i will find it.. otherwise i am gunna get a new one peice part fabbed up.. basicly a 1/2" shaft with m10X1.5 threads on either side..

then i am gunna make some new pipes of 2.5" stainless.. get them powder coated..

regardless.. the only other issue I am having is with the instuctions and the 3rd bracket..

I have what seems to be the original RK instuctions.. and as we all know the plate has 3 mounting points.. a lower thread rod.. the upper thread rod.. and then a funny little bracket

my problem is with the bracket that sits in the upper hole on the left as you are facing the fromt of the motor.. the instructions dosent mention this part at all.. i was like WTF..

so.. where does this part hook up too?? are there any other supporting parts that go with it??

can someone take a picture of that area and where it hooks up for me??

thanks.. someone has to know where that goes..

The spacer shouldn't need any threads. It should be smooth like the other spacer.

The little bracket - it has a threaded end. This end goes up against the 3rd hole. The other end goes to the engine. It matches some bolt, I forget which one. If you hold/bolt it up to that hole in the plate, you can rotate it around a little bit and see which bolt it mates up with on the engine.

no no.. the new spacer will be one peice and act as the thread rod also.. just picture the spacer.. without a hole in the middle.. and with thread rod on the ends.. its gunna be friggin' solid.. it will only cost me about $20 to make.. getting the hook up.. well.. asumming i dont find the missing one..

anyway.. so.. i grab the bracket.. and it just bolts to some spot on the block?? hmmm.. i could have sworn that i tried that and i could not find exacty where it went...

that could be bcuase i am missing that spacer though and i was not holding the plate in the proper location..

can you describe where the bracket bolts to the motor?? or better yet take a quick snapshot..

also.. are the spacers exactly 3-3/4 (upper) and 4-5/8 (lower)??

now that i think about it I am not sure if i was missing the upper spacer one or the lower one.. I am pretty sure its the lower however.. either way that parts getting made once i have confimation on thse sizes..

The new spacer does sound solid...

I looked at mine just now, and the bracket goes to a bolt below the bottom heater hose. Looks like that bolt holds the heater hose block to the engine.

Seems like they were the same size as listed in the instructions. I remember measuring them to make sure I was putting them in the right place. But that was back in November or December...

In my case, the pulley was not in line with the others exactly though. I think because the aftermarket pulley was made a little bit off spec, not because of the spacers. I used some shims under the pulley to fix it.
