    The bottom end is tough, but the rings and the lifters suck.

    48,000 miles, the rings are bad, and at least one lifter has collapsed. I hate cars.

        well it is as easy as not running boost then man. no need too bring that too the table. and btw, a proper runnign fi car will get better gas mileage, and better tailpipe readings then a na car because the volumetric efficiency is almost doubled.

            120,000 miles on my engine and it runs alot strong than it did stock! [img]smile.gif[/img] Of course its modded as well. :D

              Honestly though...lets stop for a second and think about it. You can get a fairly new 3800 series two engine and tranny for about $500. If youve bought the turbo which was about $3k chances are pretty good that you have the money to buy another engine should you accidentally blow the one youve got up.

                Thats what I've been saying, swayed me to stay. I can run the 3800II and get great mileage while not in boost, run fast and hard with boost. And if it blows the engine can be replaced for fairly cheap as compared to $2500-5000 for a LS1 tranny combo.
