• which supercharger??

    Hey guys,

Whats up? I'm new to this site, but not to f-bodies. I was sick of f-body.com losers always *****ing instead of helping towards the cars we love. Anyways, I'm really trying to investigate on more for supercharging a 3800 series engine. I know that powerdyne/RKsport/FTforce makes a kit, but isn't there issues w/ belt slippage past 6lbs. of boost? Has ANYONE figured a way to eliminate it. Also I understand that "BATMAN" & friends are creating a kit w/ a procharger which looks very interesting. Does anyone know if it will look like the powerdyne installed, and if its polished? AAlso what will the final price be, will it be easier or harder to install? Thanks in advance for all your guys help!!

P.S. I did some searches already, learning as much past info as possible.

I'd wait for the ATI Procharger set-up BATMAN is getting together. You can also go over to the Apperance section and see some pictures of the supercharger that he has posted in a thread. BATMAN said you can get it polished for an extra $200 from the factory. I think the final price is suppossed to be a little over $4000. The set-up will be custom and they are in the works right now, so I don't think anyone really knows exactly how it will look, but it's suppossed to be albe to be a bolt-on.

    BTW, welcome!

Thats some cash  I thought it would be around $3500. But if it is easy enough to install I wouldn't mind the price. I know it is asked everyday but is their any final date set?

Also does anyone know the time it will take for the install to be completed? Does it take a mechanics license? Thanks for the pic idea Dawhoady. That thing looks HUGE. I'm really excited to hear more, if anyone has any important info let me know. Thanks :D

Release date is supposed to be some time next year, like spring I think. Thats if all goes well with the 10 beta testers we have. I wanted to buy a powerdyne but I think I will wait for the ATI kit. The ATI looks very promissing.
