Started the car up tonight....

Well, after a painstaking day or so of playing with the wiring of the VATS bypass module, and finding I didn't connect the second clutch safety switch, me and my buddy sean got the car running tonight. First issue was no oil flow to the turbo....I guess I shoulda primed the oil pump of the engine with oil first....so my friend syphoned some through by sucking on the upper turbo hose....then we reconnected everything and that seems to be copacetic now. The only thing is I'm not getting boost. I must have to play with the boost controller a little bit. I have the greddy profec e-01 so its a bit complicated. That or I may have one of my vacuum hoses switched. Either way, I'm incredibly happy right now that it just started...I made a lot of changed at one time and didn't expect it to even go this smoothly to start. For those of u who don't know, I swapped a 97 3.8 m5 into my 94 3.4 A4. I also swapped the chassis wiring harness and entire interior....I'll keep you updated over the weekend, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's given me advice and helped me out. I've found my car to be very resilient -- no matter what I've done (fingers crossed), the thing has always started up on the first key turn, in the first second. Click wap wap wap wap wap. Though I primed my oil after it sat for a while by pulling the injector fuse.

I think i figured out the boost thing...I'll report back with results later tonight....

First off, I'm an idiot, I've been wondering why I'm not getting boost just revving the car in the driveway, then I finally had a brain fart and came to my senses realizing you need a load for the boost to show its face. So, I left the bumper off, tideyed up some of the wires for the marker/turn signal lights and backed that b**ch out of the driveway. Well, when I put my foot halfway to the floor, the car just took off. I hit the wastegates spring psi rating at 4 psi. I can't wait to run the full 10! I'm really just so happy right now that everything is working, I've been so nervous having made the manifolds and everything myself. Well, just thought u guys would like to have an update....take care...
