Are houston area club Sick-Sixx installed a friends supercharger the other week about the powerdyne 6 lbs. unit. Now when we rev it in neutral or run it, it will like shudder when we let off the gas like it is gonna dye big time. IS that because he doesnt have a BOV. also he was shooting the dipstick out. He since then has got headers and 3" back except for the cat, We also put a breather on the oil cap. Should he have a problem with crankcase pressure now.

If it sounds like it's going to die, then there could be a loose connection from the blower pipe to the intake manifold. Make sure all fittings and clamps are tight. When the pipe is loose, the car will actually stall from getting little or no forced air. As for the breather, isn't he getting oil coming out of the breather now? I'm not sure if putting a breather on the oil filler tube is such a good idea. A better place would be to drill into the valve covers or create one from the PCV. Also, he's got to be making MORE than 6psi to have that much pressure in the crankcase..2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

ok dont we have a hole in the TB. This hole vents to the crank case cause crank case pressure causeing the dip stick blow out am I not correct?
We have to do the thing to seal the hole and that should fix the dip stick blow out. cause its not actully blow by that is cause the positive crank case pressure.
shirl is your car an auto or a manual? What i think the studder is from is when he gets off the gas the TB blade closes but the blower is still pushing some air in after that and since he has a 99 hes got the MAF sensor right there and has the elctronic TB. so i think that when he gets off the gas, the car thinks it not supposed to get any more air but when it does it studders a little and I belive a BOV would solve this. cause I know on my car that if i take the intake tube off while the car is running and i blow in the MAF sensor the car will studder and die hehe

I looked at the breather when the car was running and there are fumes of oil coming out of it. It seems like after we installed the breather the car sounded more like it was going to die. Before it was not that much of a problem but now it does it more.99 3.8L Pewter Firebird M5, RK Sport Headers, 3 inch Dynomax exhaust, High flow cat, SLP Cold air induction, K&N filter, royal purple synthetic oil, 180* t-stat

i dont see why puttign the breather in the oil filler would be bad. If its on the valve covers wont it be even closer to the oil, thus having more possibly coming out? Maybe im on crack i dunno, and i dont see why the breather would make it wanna die more now? I really dotn know crap, your the experts, all I do is install the stuff.
