Could any BOV work for my car? I saw in ebay a variety of them like Greddy, DSM, TRD, Stillen, Etc. that they are selling much cheaper than Powerdyne does but I need to know if it will work?
I know I know I should have done this a long time ago. But since I was running low boost I thought I didn't need it. I was wrong. Thanks guys.
Powerdyne sells a bypass valve, not sure if that is different than a blow off valve. I think the BOV is for turbos, but I'm guessing here. I have the powerdyne one, just need to install it.
Might want to call Powerdyne and ask the difference since they made it a point to tell me they don't sell BOV's only bypass.
BOV its all the same. THe powerdyne one is a huge rip off, its a bosch BOV that sells for 40 bucks, turbonetics sells it for 55, and powerdyne asks 140
A blow off valve and a bypass valve aren't necessarily the same thing. A blow off valve just lets the air out of the intake tubing when the TB plate closes. A bypass valve (or a true one) will reroute the air back into the piping so that when you hit the gas again you still have the high level of boost. These are also referred to as a open system and a closed system. Blow off being open, bypass being closed.
