  • a few questions...

I admit that i don't know crap about turbo's but I've been reading about Tiago's kit and i'm very interested in it. but I have a few questions.

A turbo uses the exhaust from the exhaust manifold to ad the power, so would I not be able to use my Pacesetter headers that I ordered?

I read that it was operating at 12 psi is that safe for my 3.4 and can it be lowered. I don't wan to blow the engine apart.

Would i need to do anything to my car other then the kit for the install since i'm basicaly stock?

Finaly, Is this going to kill gas milage since this is my only car and the gas prices keep on going up?

    Thanks...
    Scott

basic setting is 7 psi, you can go up from there, or not.

The kit is built to bolt on to the aftermaket headers so yes u can use those.

ok ill answer a few of those. first will a turbo hurt you gas mileage. well turbos add more backpressure to your exhaust so you will lose a little from the get go, but not much. now other than that you will only get "bad" gas mileage when you come under boost, about 3000rpm and up. Next will it work with a stock engine. YES! now as for boost levels. there is a wonderful invention known as a waste gate. this controls how much boost you have. I believe the the FFF kit comes puting out about 7psi to 9psi of boost and these levels are safe. as for the header... i have no idea, Tiago will have to answer that one for ya.

If you baby the throttle, and have it tuned right, you should get better gas mileage with a turbo then without.
