In the near future I would like to buy a supercharger but i'd like to get something generally simple and i'm not sure which on that would be... and when I say simple I just mean the one that would require the least car modifications to be used.. which one should I go with and where could I get a hold of it?

If you are going to wait, then wait for BATMAN's ATI kit. Otherwise get the Powerdyne.

there is nothing terribly simple about a supercharger.

No matter which you go with, you will need to do exhaust mods. Headers and a full 3" exhaust.

Past that, you will also need different spark plugs.

That is what you need for any supercharger.

But there is a lot more to it. You need to remember that your putting more strain on your engine. Is this car your daily driver? Think about it, can you really afford for something to go wrong?

Both Batman's kit and the powerdyne kit will be pretty simple -- anyone can install either, you will not need a shop.

I would go for Batman's kit myself, more bang for the buck in that kit.

      Good luck whatever you do!

Where can I get ahold of the powerdyne supercharger?.. That and I didn't know that It would be putting the much of a strain on my engine.. can't you turn them off when you don't want to use them? I thought thats how they worked but maybe i'm wrong.. I guess the simplicity isn't the problem.. I just need to find a shop that would do it for me...

You can't turn a supercharger off unless you can get one that is clutch driven.

The ones we are talking about are on all the time.

fathazm--i've seen you've posted a lot about big mods to do your car. well, just a reminder, these mods are big because they require a whole lot of money. just letting you know, but be ready to spend 5,000+ easy on a good supercharger and 500+ easy on the gear install. if you've got the money, then that's cool; but i wouldn't want you to waste your time looking into all this stuff unaware of the price.

              an easy blower = powerdyne

batmans will be intercooled and will require pcm programming if you want to go over 10 lbs.

www.ftforce.com has the powerdyne blower for the v6.

Only4U.. you must have something against me what do you do follow my posts around trying to discourage me to do all this stuff? Are you a ricer in disguise? Nah I'm just playing.. you've been helpful.. but I've actually squashed the supercharger idea at the moment due to money issues but I think I can spot the money for the gears... thanks dad...

fathazam, what Only4U means is it is a very good idea to have at least $5000 saved up for a supercharger install. The supercharger (not a whole kit) may only cost you $1000-$2000 but doing the custom work you will need requires even more money. On top of that just the labor for install, and the many unexpectedd problems that can arise during and after the install.

If you go with a kit, $3735, you still need money for install labor, and again, any unexpected problems that can come up.

That is why, if anyone noticed, not everyone jumped at the chance to be a Beta tester for BATMAN. Would have loved to, but requires lots of patience and $ :D

If you get a kit, you will not need a shop's help to install it.

Maybe at most rent a couple tools from autozone, but that's about it. Especially Batman's kit, he has told me they are designing it so that a monkey could install it.

So really, putting batman's kit on will be no harder than the 6lb powerdyne unit. And it will give more power (plus you don't necessarily need pcm programming w/ batman's, 9lbs is plenty of boost on a stock engine). Then again, you won't be able to get Batman's kit for another year or so, and you can get powerdyne right now.

If you are in highschool or college, I would steer clear of nitrous or a supercharger -- unless of course if your fbody is not a daily driver. The initial cost isn't so much a problem as what can happen down the road.

Can a blown v6 be a daily driver? Of course it can! But I wouldn't do it if you would be SOL if you lost your car for a few weeks.
