I know there is alot of topics about this kit but I am just wondering if I put a magnaflow exhaust system on my car then put the turbo kit on would there be any problems with this set up. Like would I have to change the exhaust or anything like that. Also wondering if it is better to get new headers or keep the stock exhaust manifolds. I asked tiago and he said to keep the manifolds but that doesnt seem right ot me. Any input would be great

tiago made the kit so i think hes right
what year its your car?
EDIT i see you have a 2002
if you get headers the kit will not fit and the gian of the headers is not worth price, you mannies flow really well already....www.turbov6camaro.com

like viper said, the 02 manifolds flow good and the kit is made to fit those manifolds. The cat back is fine, wont affect the kit.

after hearing shanes turbo system with an open down pipe i have come to the conclusion that a muffler is not a neccessity with a turbo. It sounds like a LM or Rumbler almost. That said if you dont want an annoyingly loud car i would run a cat back just to tame it down some more. As for Tubulars vs. headers, there is deffinately some power to be gained from the headers but it wont be an astronomical gain and to me is not worth the money or the hassle of putting the headers on (bolts have been know to break when removing the manifolds) unless you want to get the absolute most out of your setup. It is up to you, look at the pros and cons of everything before you go ahead with anything.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

Header would make a little more power. I am running a Turbo on my 99 Camaro with stock manifolds, Im not sure how good they flow.
However,
I think headers are over rated for our cars when turboing. A small 1 5/8 header will support 1500 HP on a V8 car. Most V6 guys here are making around 500 HP. I think manifolds are plenty. If it cant Flow it, FORCE it!

1999 M5 Camaro RS. Boost is on the way. Cartech FMU, 255 intank, T3/T4 BB 62-1 , Stage 5 turbine wheel .63 A/R.

I hacked off my muffler. I'll see how it sounds with just the striaght pipe after the cat and see if I want to put a better muffler with 3" piping on or not once my tranny comes in.1996 Camaro, Built Motor(L/C,Cam, Ported), T66 FFF Kit, N20, 36 lb. Remember 1500 HP on a 1 5/8 header. We are not making near that.If it cant Flow it, FORCE it!

1999 M5 Camaro RS. Boost is on the way. Cartech FMU, 255 intank, T3/T4 BB 62-1 , Stage 5 turbine wheel .63 A/R.
