• Is TRI-FLO perfect(ASAP please)

I am going to supercharge my new ride in the near future. But I was wondering if the v6 model tri-flo system would be good for a forced induction car. I know it isn't 3 inch back but I just love the sound of it. I would add a high flow cat when I installed the SC, also if you guys do suggest going 3 inch, should I use the lt1 tri-flo and what size high flow cat whould I need for a 3in exhaust( 3in out/what inlet??) and would I have to cut my s-pipe off.
Thanks

Despite what you will be told, you don't need a 3 inch exhaust system to get the most out of forced induction or nitrous. Look at James. He runs an Edelbrock catback and is the 2nd fastest on this board. The triflow will work great for the blower setup.

I have the 2.5" V6 B&B Tri-Flow already and intend to keep it when I install the ATI SC (I'm a Beta tester).

Thanks guys,

Robert do you or are you going to put on a high flow cat on when you install the supercharger? Man I wish I could be one of the Beta testers.
But thats gotta be great for you. I've read all of BATMAN's updates and everything, but I'm still confused, has the system's release date been pulled back till next spring or are we going to see some availability before then?

No, and undetermined at this time, I'm still evaluating.

my personal opinion is to go with headers, 3" cat(stock or not), and a 3" cat-back.

my reasoning is shirl had a 3" cat-back on her car originally and with no headers and no 3" cat and 2.25" s-pipe and the best she could run was a 14.9 i believe. she put headers and a full 3" exhaust and knocked it down to 13.9 and below.

stefan had headers, 3" cat and 3" cat-back but a 2.25" s-pipe and he lost 2 pounds of boost when he went with the 3" s-pipe and almost a cat. that shows it was blocked up. going to 2.5" isn't adding much.

my $.000000002
i was swimming in the carribean. animals were hiding behind the rocks except for the little fish, but they told me the squid\'s trying to talk to me. oink, oink. where is my mind?

If i went w/ headers and 3inch high flow cat l8r do u think I would be fine, or would I still not be able to gain enough boost? Shirl, if u could enlighten me on the situation you had. I know orginally you were not gaining much boost, was it because you were running stock exhaust? If I am flowing headers-highflow cat-and 2.5 tri-flo I cant see it being a problem. Any info would be appreciated?
