Check this out from RK sport:

    http://www.rksport.com/prod_detail.p...10&view=detail

I know it's a V-8 blower, but the design is what is important here. I like the idea of the pulley being run off of the serp belt in the front, and the shaft turning the pully on the rear to drive the charger. That way, the inlet is in the front where it belongs. This is a good design and perhaps a similar design can be done for our cars. I'm not sure who developed that charger for RK sport, but perhaps they can make one for the V-6 cars.... worth a thought anyway.

you still end up with cowl issues with that design.

thats the way the magnachargers have been for the vettes for a while.

unless you can custom machine a super short lower intake, it won't fit :(

Hmm.. I bet you could find a blower that is low-profile enough along with the GTP lower intake. It would be cool if someone could mock it up and see how much room we do (or dont!) have.

It would be interesting. I doubt it could be done on an L36 though, just due to the fact of how far back in the engine bay it sits.

I can't find it. But awhile back someone brought out a V6 F-body with a root blower that was done by Holden. The same guy who did the GTO. It didn't have any clearance problem at all.

I think the car was even shown in SEMA. Do a search and see what you can find from FI section.

.. thats the magnuson blower.. I am pretty sure its a m112.

its a dam good idea but it would be pretty dam hard to do that setup on our cars..

Yep, I saw that Holden a while ago on here. I dont remember if it was the same type as the Corvette version or if it had a side-mounted throttle body. If you can imagine it, the Corvette does have more space on top of the engine than the F-bods do. I think once you actually fit the thing in there, the rest would be easy. I'm sure you could get an extra 3/4" of an inch or more in the cowl area just by fabbing up some custom engine mounts to drop the engine down a bit. I think the hardest part would be finding a damn supercharger that would work.

the blower itself is $5k...idk if it'd be another $5k to install it.
