• twin T3 idea (just to be different not for more power)

ok i know this has been beat to death with a big metal stick with spikes on it... but i think this might work. My proble is i dont have a lift access right now (because my friend is out of town who has one) to really see how much room is in the back of my engine. basically i think i could fit a T3 right after the manifold if i do a custom y pipe. if this is fesable then here is the routing im planning on for the plumbing. i would cut a hole in the plastic in the tire well and run the air pipe up around the top of the well to the opposite side and out in front of the bottom of the engine. from there i would use the air to water intercoolers, one for each turbo, and then y together and into the engine. now if this is just o moronic idea tell me if it has some merrit or would work with a few changes let me know that too. the reason i ask is the T3's i can get a pair of for the same price as the one hybrid and i think two small T3's would work just as well (i know not better). granted this would be more in the I/C dept. but im ok with that. also if i went twin what would be a good trim and AR to go with on them.

    Tpunk has dillusions of grandure

tubular k-member will give u an extra 3-4" of clearance for piping and such. u could prolly run the intercooler setup like the procharger D-1SC kit does w/ twin coolers and converges up top of the radiator support.

I am getting a set of the ATI intercoolers in the mail in the next few days. They seem to be a great way to go.

do you have any pics of that or any links to some? i was likin the pwr's because they dont drop the preasure much at all and flow 920 cfm. the probelms are it will be like 500 more than goin with air to air and its less efficient. i think ill buy the tubular K-member first and see what changes, cause even if i decide to go single with forward swept header it would still be nice for exhaust routing.

now as for the actual turbos... i dont know how to figure the sizes for a twin setup. Any help on this would be awsome, im wanting the closest thing to a t3/t4 57trim AR 50 performance.

not sure, your going to have to find out the area that you have to work with.

the garret G35's were used by incon, and were about as big as you could physically fit there, not sure on what woudl be the best :(

i would be more concerned about packaging, and actual perfect sizing, as long as the ones that fit, are decent.

justin with the TT V6 stang, even with little T25's was able to run 11's with it, on ajunkyard motor.

those were the other turbos i was lookin into, is there any info on the mustang turbo specs or a way i could get a hold of him? i think that turbos for a 3.8 mustang would be similar to us since they have the same displacement and similar HP.
