stupid question?

Just curious, but if one were to make a turbo from scratch and you were getting parts off of ebay, would you be able to use something like a Garret T3 compressor housing with a eclipse dsm exhaust housing. Hey, dont laugh at questions, its how we learn.

are you asking if you can make a t3/t25 hybrid? If you are then you better be thinking about a twin turbo because that would be way to small for even your 3.1. That said, i have no idea if what you are asking is possible.

You'd be better off just getting a complete turbo, rather than piecing one together. Also, like T-Punk said, using a DSM housing (likely off of a 14B), would be way too small for a single turbo setup on one of our cars.

I think he's asking this for his Scion tC. The turbo would be Ok for that engine.
