  • good deal on supercharger???

    this guy i work with wants to sell me his supercharger off his accord or something for 150 bucks, i think its 12 pounds or something. he said its universal, the catch is i have to take it off his car for him. am i getting a good deal.

    all bets are that it's gonna be a pain in the @ss to install. Most superchargers for our cars go for around $4000. that might tell you something if you're getting yours for less than $200 [img]smile.gif[/img]

        i'd recommend that you find out more about the supercharger (brand, how old it is, how many miles are on it, exactly how much more oomph it'll give you, etc).

        there must be some reason the guy is selling a $4k part for less than $200 [img]smile.gif[/img]
        just seems kinda ifish to me.

          The supercharger itself doesn't cost 4k. It's the duct work, intercooler, brackets, etc that make it that much. Most turbo kits are 4k, and the turbos themselves are between 4-600 bucks.

            I wouldnt touch that thing personally. It sounds fishy to me like others have already stated. :rolleyes:

              well i talked to the guy again today, its only got 4k miles on it. he is going to give me the brandname and some numbers so i can see if it will fit my car
