Why do the cars do this, when I hit 6 psi the other day it went straight to "Reduced power mode" BTW. I didnt have my Rear 02 sensor hooked up.

I had that problem. It is because of the MAF Sensor. I had to replace mine with a blow through model offered by ZZP. The problem went away after that. Try having that happen in heavy traffic and having to pull over and shut the car off for ten seconds until the problem resets itself.

Oh by the way, don't feel too bad about detonating your turbo. I grenaded three so far at a cost of about $1000. All problems were related oil pressure. Just keep hacking at it like I am. You will get everything together eventually.

I already shipped the turbo out for a rebuild.
BTW...did you have too much oil pressure or not enough? Does the MAF flip out when its maxed out?If it cant Flow it, FORCE it!

1999 M5 Camaro RS. Boost is on the way. Cartech FMU, 255 intank, T3/T4 BB 62-1 , Stage 5 turbine wheel .63 A/R.

I doubt the problems are related other than the fact that both of youz are using a turbo...
turbo kyle you are using an fmu...maf can peg and you still will have enough fuel at least at the particular PR mentioned...THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...NOW SERIES-III

Mr Nocutt, I concur. I had a FMU and Maf Translator hooked up too. "Pig-rich" says it all. The AF Ratio shot all the way to the right (green) before the I got the same malfunction. Stil, it stopped after I changed the MAF.
I killed both turbos from too much pressure so the guys at East Coast Turbo say. My remote system has been a little headache with all the turbo problems and leaks. I began to think that on the fourth turbo that I was getting screwed on the rebuilds. Quality makes a big difference in your unit.

Thats what I thought. Is thier a way you can keep the car from going into reduced power mode, with out getting HP tuners? If it cant Flow it, FORCE it!

1999 M5 Camaro RS. Boost is on the way. Cartech FMU, 255 intank, T3/T4 BB 62-1 , Stage 5 turbine wheel .63 A/R.

Can you do without HPT...of course, many have...however I will advise or rather suggest to use a "re-programmer"...it will save all the headaches...

i bet it is the 1514 error
basicly there is a table in the computer that says your not supposed to flow more then xx air at this rpm blah blah and when you do it sets the reduced power mode
This is only on electric tb cars I belive
I had this problem when i was not wot but was boosting like 5 psi flowing alot of air im sure.
Hp tuners has a table that you can adjust the values, I have not gotten to try it out yet but basicly I just adjusted all the higher values.

upp unless you can tell the computer its crazy and its not flowing as much air as it thinks it is
yes hp tuners is the only way, if you dont wanna pony the money up for it you could pay about half that and get tsp to do a custom tune for you
you could just tell them to multiply the table by 2 or even 3 so you will not max it

Where is TSP located, and do they have a website?
