no..it is not required at this boost level..but can still be used..you will need one when running 9 psi or more

Well I'm sure we all know the function of a BOV and BPV.

I would say yes. It's important to have one. After some hard runs my blower would get extremely hot. Now it runs cooler and I can put my hand on the blower and not get burn.

Even, if you're running low boost. It wouldn't hurt you to have one.

ok thanks. i was just wondering because i want to use my air lid for my SC. I'm gonna follow grayman's instruction on his website and use the flex tubing instead of the pipes it came with. the pipes are for the 97 kit anyways and i have an 01.

hey Mighty Thor, just curious, where in SoCal do you live?

i would suggest getting the powerdyne up and running perfectly before adding the BOV. it is just something else to go wrong during your first day of fireing up your new forced induction engin.

(BOV's do fail and they do get installed incorrectly from time to time that is why i am suggesting to add it after everything is up and running fine)
