Turbo is the way to go. The way I see it, since it makes it with RPM's, you won't have the traction issues you will with a super, and you will get more overall power.

You will have traction issues with a turbo but it is easier to manage...and it isn't exactly RPM dependent, rather load dependent...I definately agree a turbo is the way to go...although an SC will provide more competition. Let's see a turbo produce a flat "pancake" curve :DTHE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...<b><i>NOW SERIES-III</i></b>

The bad thing about a turbo is the lag.. Thats when TT setups come into effect.. but yeah a turbo runs off the exaust and not the belts so it doesnt take away Hp like SC do..Jeff ..

"Turbo Lag" is overated...with a properly sized turbo you really don't feel the lag especially with the CR of a stock 3800!! TT's are things of the past...well except one who has the $$$ to cough up, but by design a 3800 Fbody will do a lot of damage especially now that we know the capabilities of the L36!THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...<b><i>NOW SERIES-III</i></b>

So is parasitic lost over rated for SC. I mean could easily spin my pulley and it will make a couple of revolution. Just remember, they have the same function, its all about air flow.
Where are you at in LA, nocutt? I sure would like to check out your car.
But as far as Turbo Vs. Supercharger goes, here you go: www.superchargersonline.com/content.asp?ID=19

Well the problem with the SC is somewhat overated in a manner of speaking. So we don't go overboard, I think both poweradders have their own merits...you want Ummph now you get an SC, you want Ummph at the top-end, then you get a turbo...although a turbo does do it with style ;)
BTW I am in LA,LA...but I frequent Marina del Rey, mostly in my buddy's Shop...you need to comedown and see the light...literally :DTHE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...<b><i>NOW SERIES-III</i></b>

You're wrong. It does rob some power, but not as much as a SC will. And also the myth that SC's rob hundreds of HP is wrong. Today's centrifugal SC's don't produce that much parasistic loss. Personally, turbo is the way to go.---<br />-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

First and only time at the track (LACR) I pulled a 14.4s @ 95.xx mph with 4psi and -17 degrees of KR (bad auxillary injector), I also pulled a 14.7 @ 95.xxmph on the second run (shifted to 4th...KR was almost hitting -19 degree of KR even before 4900RPMs..I got off the throttle, I love my engine...lol). Third run was 13.7 (red light) and my last run was 17.x seconds...lol @ 11psi...yep I blew my TB intake. I have never gone back due to time constrait and can't seem to find folks to go at the right time... :(THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...<b><i>NOW SERIES-III</i></b>
