  • What is a good mixture for water injection?

I'm trying to see what a good mixture would be running water and denatured alcohol. Right now I have it 50/50, but I don't want to run anymore richer than 11:1 air/fuel. Right now without the water injection I'm at 11:5 to 11:7. I just got back from running it and my air/fuel was dropping down into the 10's. Is there a way to figure out how much water and alcohol to mix to get not as rich. I just need to lower my intake temps. Should I run more water than alcohol? Thanks for any help

That's very interesting. Have you tried asking Coolingmist? Try running with just distilled water for now and then start adding the alcohol.

You do have stage 1 right?

Are you shooting it at 5psi of boost?

By the way, how the power with this thing? Is it a big difference?

I have the stage 1, I started spaying at around 5-6 psi but the car was bogging down. I think I'm getting too much water/alcohol coming in, so I'm getting a smaller nozzel. Should spray about half the water I'm spraying now. Also it has been pretty cool here so I don't expect any huge difference right now. But when summer hits I should see a big difference.

a buddy of mine uses a mixture of "heat" and windshield washer fluid. In his 500 hp car just make sure its not a really cheap kind 1 bottle of heat to one gallon of washer fluid... i said to him wtf are u doin ur gonna mess up ur motor he thought the same but the tuner said not so he tried it and its keeping him safe 11.1 a/f its pretty cheap stuff to....who knew.... just my .02 latr

i dunno why you would wanna run water. i run 100% methanol and the motor loves it and i can run all the boost i want on pump gas.

I thought the reason behind the water was for the cooling effect. How much does the 100% methanol lower your air/fuel? What I'm looking for is to lower my IAT temps.
