I ran a 12.1 na on it in 2005, a little more traction and I might have been able to get a time out of it that would be competitive with Shirl... :D

Ran a couple of 20 minute hot-lap sessions at the road course at the Nashville Superspeedway with it too, that was a lot of fun.

Back in April I put an STS on it, but didn't get the timing table quite right in the mid-range, and blew 3 pistons on its very first wot tuning pass. A/F was right on, but 28 degrees of timing, even at 5 psi, was just too much for it. I didn't even get it to the track one time last year.

I was out of money for the car at that point, so it's been sitting in the garage ever since. Getting started back up on it just now. It will be getting forged pistons this time around.

Trying to take a little more weight off the car (ABS, airbags, manual brakes, radio, back seats, etc.) Still gotta put the Wolfe 6-pt in. I've had it sitting around for almost a year now...

Also going with an OBX front mount intercooler this time too. That should let me run up to 10-12 psi or so. I got the 4" thick one. That sucker weighs over 20 lbs.

          Happy New Year!!

Here's to getting some racing done in 2006!

STS huh. What you think of that Turbo set up? Sorry to hear about your engine. Oh well, that's an excuse to build it up.

It looks like your car is good for 11 sec definately. So far you still have the best V6 PD run here.

I'm sure if SSMS5411 and Grayman would run they would get excellent time. They have one of the best PD set up here.

Hey, don't be a stranger. We definately need your professional advise.

The STS went in pretty easily. I tweaked a couple of things on it. Put the return line into the oil pan instead of into the oil fill cap on top of the valve cover. Redid part of the intake pipe where it comes under the rear lca, for more ground clearance.

I was getting 2-3 psi showing on the boost gauge at less than 1/2 throttle. For the 3 seconds or so that it lasted on the first wot run, it was very strong -- scary strong!. Spooled fast too.

Yeah, the na setup was good for a high 11, if I could have gotten the 60' down to something better than a 1.85. I picked up a set of ET Streets for it, but didn't have a chance to run them. My new goal is a low 10 with the STS on it.

I do pop in here from time to time, but usually don't post. Looks like you guys (and gals) have it pretty well covered every time I've looked.

I do refer people here pretty regularly. Especially when they have FI questions for the v6 cars.

I'm moderating on a couple of boards (a local f-body board, and an f-body road racing/autocross board) so I just try to do a quick browse on my other couple of favorite boards...

It would be interesting to see some more times, especially now that hptuners is available. That's what was holding me back, was not having the ability to adjust the tune for more boost or bigger injectors, and I was pretty much at the limit on mine. I picked up a '98 TA back in the fall, and took it to the track 2 days after I got it. It ran a 13.9, and 13.8, and a 13.7. I was feeling pretty good about getting something running again with that kind of power. Then I remembered that my v6 ran faster than that... :D
