  • I'm thinking about SC'ing my 3.4

Are there any kits made for my motor? And how much would the price tag usually be? I know the 3.8's are so much more popular and have more aftermarket parts/kits. If I cant find a kit, I guess I'll do a 3.8 swap, is that going to be easy? Could the engine itself mount to my existing tranny? And what other parts have to be changed out?

Is that the only company that makes a kit for the 3.4's? $4400 is pretty steep. I'd love to have a z28 but not the insurance that comes with it. I'm 18 with no tickets/accidents, and paying about $500/6 months.

Thats the only kit that i know of. Insurance might not be to bad on an LT1, you should definatly just call your company for a quote.

you'd probably be better off getting a turbo. and being that you're modding the car, i wouldn't worry about a 3.8 swap. since they're both v6's, aftermarket parts aren't that common for either. they're actually is plenty of aftermarket parts for the 3.4 as the 3.8, you just gotta know what to look for.

I dont want a turbo, I'd like for the power to be their right when I floor the gas pedal, instead of waiting for the turbo to spool up. I dont race, but I do like power. I'd like for the engine internals to be stock, and just do exhaust and a supercharger. Maybe I should just wait and possibly trade my 3.4 for a 3.8 at some used car dealer. I'd prefer a 95 or 96, I like the front end and the dash panel on those.
