man, if my engine wernt so old, id snatch one of these setups right up. Seems like a waste of money though with almost 90,000 on the clock, and i dont have enough cash for the turbo and a rebuild.

OK I am not bashing, cause personally I love the idea of turbos or superchargers, only wish I could afford one right now. But from a realistic stand point, Why dyno a car when its cold? I mean, under normal conditions, say out and about and decide to race, or even more, sitting in the staging lanes for 15-20 minutes at the track. Are we going to stop and say wait, can my car cool down first, I want the most umph I can get. I dont think so. Anyways, thats only my $0.02. I am glad someone has undertaken the task of creating this system for us, and I thank you for your time and effort. Those are great numbers by the way, and I hope you break the 315/350 goal. Is there financing available on the project yet, LOL?

it DOES make a difference.
i started with a cool engine, and a 14.92 time hotlapped and hotlapped to a 15.3.
you should know better. Anyone with any sense does just 'race out and about', and further more, if you want good 1/4 times, yes you DO let the car cool down some.
170* is MUCH better than 210*
i think what makes me the most upset, is guys come up with VALID reasons why the car has more in it, and people say blah blah blah excuses.
go build the kit yourself, THEN make excuses as to why it doesn't/won't run as well as this one.2011 Camaro LS 6M, in black.

lol, who dug this up from the past.
The biggest problem of that day was teh massive boost leak we were fighting on teh dyno, I was holding the intake pipe on the throttle body by my hands
any kind of exaust or intake leaks on teh system makes alot of difference on the output numbers. We could hardly build up decent boost that day.

In regards to air/intake temps. Colder air is denser therefore more can be rammed into the motor resulting in better ET's, dyno run #'s, ect. It's not always practical to cool down, but if you're at the track looking for new bests.. it's a good idea to let the car sit a little bit between runs and even throw a bag of ice on the intake.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

i dont believe 7 psi will make 300 RWHP without some good mods, it should make more like 260-270 RWHP, thats better than the LT1, with a new cam, and ported heads, then! it should make over 300 RWHP but stock, many people have already took turbocharging the 3800 v6 into there own hands instead of waiting for commercial kits they goto custom shops have them make a setup and these guys only make around 260 to the wheels at first, which is good, not bad, but they continue to run 14's, its a very good start to a project.
I think dyno runs are too hyped up, first of all you can get false numbers if your playing with gears, second
one guy on yahoo turbocharged his 3800 v6 camaro and ran mid 14's all day, he was running 7 pounds of boost, he told me its quite a nice ride, a few good mods should put him lower. this crap about making 300 plus RWHP with 7 psi is FALSE!
for christ sake, you are not going to get more than 100 Rear Wheel horse power increase from 7 psi on a stock 3.8, havent you guys looked at other turbocharged cars, eclipse, supra, 300zx, 3000gt, they all gain close to the same ammount of power with 7 psi, you guys will dyno 260-280 RWHP on a mostly stock 3.8 its been done before. what you guys should be focusing on is gearing, transmission coolers, cams, and heads, weight, traction, not this boost BS with Horsepower and Numbers. just because you are making 270 RWHP doesnt mean a well gear'd and modded LT1 making only 260 RWHP wont smoke you.
dont you guys wonder how a 225 HP WRX and decimate a 225 HP Eclipse GSX? they weigh close to the same, both AWD, both have the same power, yet the WRX runs considerbly faster. Maybe you guys should look into that.

7 psi on a turbo 3.8 motor is the same amount of air as 7 psi on a supercharged 3.8 motor. the amount of air forced in is the same, it's just the output is different in each situation based on the compressors. other mods such as exhaust, intake, cams, heads, ignition, fuel, ect. will affect the numbers and change where and how much power is made. this makes comparing the 2 systems difficult unless u purposely make 2 cars the same and test them both.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

first of all thanks for digging this up from the grave.... again
Once again you've gone on rambling about things you know nothing of. Why dont you just shut up? You keep on talking and talking without one single ounce of actual knowledge. You talked to guy on Yahoo? Fantastic. Do you even have any idea what their setup is, and how it was designed? NO. Do you have any idea how this turbo is designed? NO. Do you have any idea how a turbo reacts to this car as opposed to a GTP or WRX or 3000GT engine? NO. So what do you know? NOTHING. I do not understand how many times I and other people have to remind you you are merely speculating and making remarks, suggestions, and conclusions on things you have absolutely Zero experince with. Just zip it and if your so hell bent on proving people wrong either do the **** yourself and show us were wrong or shut up and wait for the results. ****ing annoying.

you know nothing as said before, just keep your moutn shut. Im tired of you highjacking all my threads with your senseless rambling.

dude, you dont make sense at all. how the **** is a dyno not proven. you can mess with gearing and stuff. sure. but he didnt. and if he did, he still put down the numbers. i jsut dont get why you have too come on here and bash all the guys that are dedicated too the v6. you shouldnt even be on here if you think they are that bad. this is like me going on too a civic site and jsut rambling on about stupid **** that noone wants too here.
here is the deal, i will make whatever power you want with my little six cyllinder 3.4L. serve it up man, you tell me what you think i couldnt run, and i will do it. i plan on about 600hp too the wheels, but the six is slow becasue it is a six right. ummmm, i plan on 10's with my car. just a ****ing slow six though so i guess i wont be able too run these numbers. according too you i guess this is true and i jsut wasted about 20 grand on my car. i think i am going too **** in my pants now that i waste all this time and money on a slow v6.
fuk you pusy! and stop talking shti on our threads, noone likes you!boost, you got it???

You are moron, supras run 12 psi stock and same with a 3000gt. Do your research before you talk and dont talk about japanesse cars cause it is obviouse that you dont know ****. As for you subwrx vs. eclipse if you knew anything at all you would know why the subwrx is so much faster. The sub has a much better intercooling system with a much more efficent turbo that makes the eclipse look like stone age technology, and the subs AWD is state of the art technology made form decades of rally racing, while the AWD on the Eclipse is more of a handling option kinda what the put on audis, not to mention that the tranny on the Wrx is a million times better than a eclipse. All of these reasons are why the WRX is better it isnt a mystery like you say it is, you are an idiot and stop posting about stuff you dont know. If you want to compare a 3.8 next to a supra, the supra has about 280whp at 12psi and 3.8 makes 280whp at 7psi do you realise how much 5 psi can do for you? Pump the 3.8 up to 280 and with sufficent fuel you should be making 330whp. So dont post about stuff you dont know espically japanesse cars cause i will own you.
You are offically PWNED.2002 M5 camaro- VTR CAI, custom cat-back exhaust, battery compacitor, pullie, lowering springs, 32mm sway bar, cross-drilled slotted rotars. 1-10\" L7 in cubby.
