How much of a headache would it be to put a supercharger off a GTP on my 3.8?

I HEARD that there will also be hood clearence issues. A Ram-Air hood should take care of that.
Your best bet will to get the Engine and Supercharger. $$$ :(<b>2000 NBM Pontiac Firebird</b><br />3800GT Performance Package<br /><br />Intake, Magnaflow Cat, Flowmaster Cat-Back

it'll fit, its just a matter of how much work you want to put in to it. gm did it on a six, and its been done on a eight

Instead of always *****ing about it being answered a "zillion" times already, why not make a sticky post on the top of the board about it?AIM: escalier deverre<br />\'02 Pearl Blue Metallic RSX-S (daily driver)<br />\'98 Black Firebird<br />98 V6 turbocharged to 02 LS1 swap<br />\'02 LS1/4L60E<br />LS6 Block, LS6 Intake Manifold, Thunder Racing 215/220 .600/.523/115 Cam, Titanium Retainers, Crane Double Valve Springs, 125 shot NX Wet Kit w/ NOS brand Purge, True Dual \"H\" Pipe w/ two chambers and dumps, 17x11(rear) and 17x9.5(front) Black Powdercoated ZR1 Replicas on 315 and 275 BFGoodrich Comp T/A\'s (Street)/ET Drags/Skinnies on Weldlites(Track), 3.42/LSD

No, not a GTP Eaton. It will NOT fit.
GM built a 3800 with an Eaton but it is a different configuration. See the article on my web site. Similier to the Magnuson MagnaCharger Eaton.

its just not worth it, putting the roots blows on our engine, just find a centrifungial supercharger 10 psi with worked internals will make anyone on this board happy. easy low 13's
im starting to get bored with the v6 already, there is not much you can do, except a power adder, its worth it though
i really want a 350 small block. but im going to make this v6 become quick car.
i plan in the future to buy 96 or 97 Z28, i plan to swap the rear end with a 12 bolt, get performence suspension, then build a 383 stroker with my dad, after that, i will try to find a ZL1 Replica Kit, my dream car will be complete... give me atleast 2 years =)

Robert which month of that pontiac mag had the article about the eaton type blower on the 3.8L? The one on your site is hard to read. I tried to print it and that didn't work either.
Wish I could get my hands on one of those. :D and... as to the last post... yeah a V-8 small block wouldn't be bad at all. Thanks, <br />JAM<p>02 Firebird GT

Okay I am getting tired of the same questions and the same non-chalant answers...
Besides the fact that the TB/intake are configured differently and MAYBE the hood...why do ppl keep on saying "IT WON'T FIT"
FACT: the L36 actually sits higher than an L67...believe or not!
Ok maybe in the f-body the L36 sits differently (other than the traditional N-S configuration)...I don't know, I have stated what I know...if it were a problem then I guess a cowl will fix that minor issue
FACT: You can put the factory Eaton M90 on an L36, like I have stated other than the fact that the TB's lie in different locations why else won't this work?
and hopefully it become a sticky ;)THE ORIGINAL 3800SII turbo...<b><i>NOW SERIES-III</i></b>

I'll say this again - The GM GTP Eaton SC WILL NOT FIT on a F-body!
The TB end of the SC will be stuffed into the firewall, the EGR won't hookup, the water inlet will be at the back of the engine (not the front). How much more do you want?
To install an Eaton you will have to use an Eaton M90 Gen 3 or Magnuson/Eaton Gen 4, and do a lot of custom engineering, and fabrication. I know because I have been working on the design for months.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com
