My Vortech V1 should be installed by the end of the week. The machine shop is cutting a few pieces to spec to finish the bracketry. So far I have changed to the correct plugs, wires and tapped the oil pan for return. I've got the Vortech FMU and Race Bypass valve ready for fitting next week after I finally decide on the intercooler. Coolest part of this whole setup is that it will end up costing under $1,500.

Congrats, man!! I love Vortech, that's my blower of choice. When I was hanging out at Vector Performance, I've seen ATI, Paxton, Weiland, Eaton, Powerdyne, but Vortech in my opinion is the best one. The aftercooler set up is awesome. I've seen people put ice on those and did awesome on the track.
Are you still running on the flat side of the pulley. If so, do you have a solution for the probable belt slippage?

Pics of this are coming next week. It will be run by the flat side of the belt but the pulley will be contacted no less than 75% and it will likely use some kind of rubber coating to enhance grip. I will do this by using a six-rib idler pulley from Tayco that matches the rib side of the belt and makes the belt routing possible. The brackets are made of .250" 6061-T651 alloy and the bolts and studs are grade 8.8. Stay tuned for more of "Project Sleeper."180 Thermo, K&N Filter, Transgo stage 2, Pacesetters, Magnaflow cat, Flowmaster Catback, 3.42 LSD, Hotchkis LCA/Panhard, Bilstein, Eibach Pro, 1LE bars, SP crossdrilled/slotted rotors.

Vortech Project 1.0 failed.
Vortech Project 2.0 in the works
