i am pretty sure that vortech spin the other way. that is just the begining of the 'not' reasons. if you need more...well...it is a side port exit blower as well.

            Not.

I am not trying to stop the party but a very advanced forced induction mechanic who wants to spend a lot of time developing a super charger system for the 3.8l f body out of any given blower unit could do it...but they would not be asking us...they would just do it.

realy...there is a lot going on when converting a N/A engine to forced induction. It should not be done 'on a budget' nor with 'money saving' as the priority. the priority should be engine safety becuase if you do something wrong you can damage or destroy the motor. now the project just got a lot more expensive.

You want a kit designed for our cars. bottom line. Also...if you were going to take on a custom project you would get limited support from us here...as you would be all alone. As it is if you find a used rksport L36 powerdyne kit many of us can help you get it all up and running. the fact that you can get very good technical support from us is a cost saving and headache saving and engine saving benny from hanging around this forum.

You should try and contact RSMracing. They seem to do a lot of Vortech SC. Ask if they have some kind of project going on for the 3.8 fbody.

They have one for the 3.4 V6. I wonder if there's a chance to make this adaptable to the 3.8?

SC can get very expensive to adapt our cars. Stefan, the one that Jenn copied hers, I think spent almost 10k. That includes the SC, install, and other expense.

It's much easier to adapt a Turbo to a 3.8 than a SC. Maybe you should try that. There's plenty of cheap used turbo in Ebay, as well as intercoolers. A performance shop that specializes on turbo can easily adapt it to your car.

Other than that, Grayman is right.

i am leaning towards supercharger over turbo. easier install, easier to maintain, less problems.
