things to do ahead of time: (before actually installing the blower)
FMU intstall,
NGK TR6 plug install
Gauge pod,
(Once you have the fmu on you can run your vac lines to it as well as to the boost gauge.
Fuel pressure sender/gauge)
John D wrap prep (clearancing the oil filter elbow)
TB PCV plug and valve cover breather cap.
Oil pressure sender relocating elbow. NOTE: look at the mcaanda instructions and then look at my addendum. The mcaanda instructions are wrong concerning the angle of orientation of the oil pressure sender elbow. It should be pointed the opposite direction that is indicated in the mcaada instructions. The reason for this is the NEWER John D wrap belt route.
ALSO...(refer to my addendum again) you don't need to cut and grind the nipple thing on the harmonic ballancer plastic thing as stated in the RKsport instructions as well as the mcaanda instructions. The reason you do not need to clearnce this item is again....you guessed it...the newer John D Power Wrap.
Dont forget to pick up some teflon thread tape. You will need it for your threaded connections such as the oil pressure sender relocating elbow as well as the NPT brass fittings for your boost gauge.
That is plenty of things for this weekend. Get all that done ahead of time and you can confirm that your new vac lines and boost gauge lines are tight, not leaking, etc. Now you have all of the misc. stuff done and can then concentrate on building your intake and discharge rigs.
NOTE: take it easy on the AC lines when installing the blower. It is a tight fit getting the blower down where it needs to go. Dont try and bend the AC pipes by hands. you can crack them. You should be able to get the blower down in there with a little care and not have to bend the metal AC pipes.
NOTE: I also made a small sheet metal plate (rolled it to fit outside on the oil filter) and siliconed it to my oil filter (the top side of filter) as a gaurd against the HEAVY main blower mounting plate during install. Look at some of the pics from m intake and discharge tubing section and you will see it on the oil filter. Whenever I change filter i put the sucker on the next filter with a some fresh RTV blue. Thie is a precaution against the blower banging up the filter during install as well as in the rare event the blower unit mounting bolts wiggle loose. By the way...i went to parts stores and bought extra nuts so that i could double up the two 'striaght' main blower mounting studs.
Dont worry about mouting the rksport tensioner ahead of time. Just do that of main blower install day and you can continue using the stock sepertine belt with all the above 'prep' mods done.

Hey greyman about flipping his K&N coupler... I've never seen one in person but it is probably slanted down towards the TB. If he rotated it, it might point up slightly towards the hood. Also, the accordian coupler that he is looking for from the stock lid may fit onto the oval outlet of his filter.\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.

yea, he either needs to dig out his stock air intake stuff or go find a stock type coupler. the stock accoridan might be a perfect fit for that K and N filter seeing as the accordian is already oval shapped on the airbox end and circular on the far side.
I think that K and N coupler might be too long anyway. It goes all the way to the TB. That does ot leave much room when you connect it to the powerdyne flex tube and right away make a 90 degree bend towards the passenger side.

go check vipers sticky. there are TWO fittings needed for the schraeder valve sender connection.
