turbo help

hey i decided to go turbo b/c my bud can get me the turbo itsels for real cheap but i was wonderin where i can get the manifold and the intercooler. Where woudl the intercooler mount b/c of the peice of the car behind the grill. IS it safe to run a turbo on my car since it was 71k miles on it.

You don't get "manifolds" for our cars. Unlike a simple I-4, routing piping is a little bit different. You need to custom make headers or crossover pipes for our cars, as well as downpipes.

do a search but in short noone makes turbo manifolds and even if they did odds are they would only sell them too you with the kit and turbos they are designed for. it is obvious that you thought this would be an easy task. Best bet for a custom kit for you would be to take it to an exhaust shop. Not only that but the only kit made for the 3.8 and 3.4 uses the stock manifolds and then routs the exhaust under the car and the to the turbo which is in front of the engine. as for where to mound the intercooler look at this site for some ideas www.force-fed-fabrications.com and if you like what you see you can buy a kit for only 3000 dollars which is dirt cheap for a kit that includes everything that it does.
