Most of us do it this way. I was actually the first one to do it. I like it better than the cone filter. You can click on my link below and go to page 3 and see how I did it.
But you know what you did is even creative by moving that snout. I guess us 98 and below got it easy.
By the way, nice car and nice site.

Don't forget that using a V8 lid will eliminate the need to modify the offset V6 outlet. I know this works on a '98, but I'm not sure about the clearance with the straight TB. Not to mention everything is nice and symmetrical looking at the front of the car.
Are you leaving that flex hose permanently on the supercharger outlet?\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.

That is some real determination '99'. Good job.
I have a whisper lid on my TA. I have been pretty busy with it but I plan to take some pics of the Ls1 whisper lid on my v6 powerdyne car. John D had done that.
My rig also uses the stock airbox and stock lid. The stock lid has a shorter neck than a whisper style lid so it all fits good...but a v8 aftermarket lid is more in the center and it should allow for even better fitment.
But yea, you realy went to town on that lid.

Cool,
RKSport offered to pay royalties but I refused and asked them to put effort into revising and updating their instruction pamphlet with better pics and more detail. I have not heard back from them.

Seriously though, seeing the rksport instructions was 50% of the motivation behind my powerdyne guides. For $4000 you'd think you would atleast get a set of instructions that are legible and with pictures that can be seen.
I can understand why a business would not do write ups on blocking the PCV system and stuff like that but those instructions are an embarrasement for the entire company.
So one of us snomewhat 'normal' powerdyne runners has got to get to the track for some 1.4 mile times. I am trying to work it out. Pretty much the only powerdyne car times we have is shirls car and that thing is some sort of top secret beast that is a bit beyond what most us us have done to say the least.
When steve gets to the track that will be good but his car is also at or near the 'beast' category, but atleast it will show the possibilities.
I think 1DagerousV6 got into the 13's or so but he has had many incarnations of his car so i loose track.
Well, I am off to put the underdrive ballancer on the TA. uggh,

As reference, I ran a 14.14@95 with my first trip ever to the track. That was on street tires, fully stock 130k motor, pacesetter headers and full 3 inch exhaust. Warm 80 degree day, ~40% humidity, decent track prep and running into a headwind. On 7 lbs of boost.
Full weight car, ground effects, 245/50/16 tires, auto/3.42 gears, 1.92 60'. I really wanna get methanol injection and work on a new belt wrap for the powerdyne. Also hope to run in better weather conditions and I think I should find some 13s with practice.\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.

I never ran NA... that was my first time ever to the track. Like I said though, my car is basically stock otherwise. No cam, no suspension, just the big intake (blower) and exhaust. So I'm expecting I probably would have been mid 15s NA.\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.
