I did a lot of searching around the site. Looks like the L67 can take a good amount of power. I have a 95 Bonnie SSEi, The Blown 3.8 with the M60 blower I belive. Now I know its not a GTP but is it the same block/Engine L67? I was wanting to get a L67 and put the short block in my F-body. So what cars did the L67 come in?
Thanks fellas,
Kyle~
If it cant Flow it, FORCE it!

1999 M5 Camaro RS. Boost is on the way. Cartech FMU, 255 intank, T3/T4 BB 62-1 , Stage 5 turbine wheel .63 A/R.
the block in a GTP (L67) is the same as the L36. The only difference is the piston/connectingrod/crank assembly. If you really want to rebuild your L36 as an L67, go for it - but its not needed unless you intend to go superhigh PSI on the motor. These engines will perform fine on stock L36 internals for a very long time on intercooled boost.
gtp internals are the cheapest way to go for a lower cr and forged pistons and rods (the crank is the same from what i understand). Also the heads are different too but there is no performance difference between the two.

Thats cool I was going to get an extra motor for when I blow this one up ;) . I was lookin for a L67 Short block so I dont have to switch around internal parts.

The pistons are not forged, they are hypereuretic just like the L36, but they are stronger.

You can run more boost with out detonation which will increase hp, but they are not stronger.

I hear that is the weak point of the L36. L67s chip pistons all the time, so they probably are not much stronger than ours.
