  • Questions on Powerdyne kit

I wanted to see what you guys thought of the rksport 3.8L 95-97 kit. There is a kid near me locally that is selling the whole kit for $1800. The kid says that he put about 10,000 miles on the kit and that nothing is missing or broken. If i buy this should i get it rebuild from one of the powerdyne dealers on ebay? Does anybody know the life of the internal belt in those powerdyne headunits? Any info would really help.

Do a search, but I'm guessing that it does need a rebuild by now!

I don't know exact mileage, but that's quite a few for the powerdyne unit!

Yeah but for the price, i'd say its worth it to buy it and get a rebuild.

I'd offer him about $1200, depending on what he includes with the kit.

that's a pretty good price. imo take it and run if you are sure it works. if it needs a little fixing up even it would still be a good deal.

its a good deal.. 10,000 miles is not all that much.. typically the need rebuilds somewhere around 40,000 according to powerdynes website..

but i would not worry about it till a bering goes bad, or the belt breaks..

and 1,800 is a fair price..
