Think about the EGT and the exhaust pressure, they burn nitromethane. I read that the cylinder pressure at Bottom dead center is still over 2000PSI.

BTW, F1 cars put out more HP per cubic inch with turbos in the mid 80's than a top fuel car puts out today. Think what they could do with modern equipment.

Nope they pushed less boost than top fuel 30-40psi vs 45-50psi, and they ran on alcohol. They ran 7"bar", which is 102.9psi only while qualifying extracting 1500hp from 1.5L insane.

The way they get the HP is turning 12,000RPM.

Don't forget it takes 900hp just to spin the blower on a top fuel car. Thats rediculious.

You guys resurrected a year old post. I don't think CM Boyd is around anymore.

He did sent me lots of pictures of his set up. But my computer crash due to virus.

I remember him saying that he's had a lot trouble with it and there was too much lag.

I give a lot kudos though for taking on a project like this.
