Ok, I know somebody has a 1999-2002 powerdyne kit installed. Is there any chance I could see a pic of the discharge tubing for the straight TB? Um, "AllTheGoodNamesAreGone"...you seem to be the most recent and prominant '99-02 kit user...any chance you could mail me a pic? I have clicked on your 'work in progress' weblink so many times....just hoping one day it will be working and that I may actually see how they get the Straight TB to hook up to dishcarge tube with only 4.5 inches to work with on a 3.5 inch outside diameter TB. 3.5 inch tubing makes for a REAL big bend....how....I just cant picture it.
The reason for my request is that someday soon I will be able to afford a couple grand for a used kit. (john's was just a bit too soon for me....went for such a great price...wished I could have done it...) That means I will most likly see the 1995-97 kits for sale used.

I would greatly appreciate any pics or insight on how they make it work for the straight TB. I assume the kit comes with a cone filter...not worried about the intake...mainly the blower discharge tubing.

    TIA.

I don't have any pics except for what's on my site, which is for the 98 with an angled TB.

But you can still buy any kit of any year and make it adapt to your car. The discharge tube can be modified by just about any good machine shop.

On my 89 bird, they did the intake tube for $60.

Yea, I wanted to see someones 99-02 setup first before I start hacking stuff. If I end up with a 95-97 kit I would also like to keep the plumbing intact...for future sale as 95-02 kit if somebody wrecks my car, I want to return to stock in 10 years for sale, or If I start getting on a first name basis with officer friendly and decide I am better off with out that much HP.

"uncharged" came thrue. THANKS MAN! He sent some pics of the stock 99-02 rksport kit. The blower spool is oriented straigt up rather that horizontaly toward drivers side and the discharge tube goes up to a 90* toward front of car and then a pretty tight (welded) U bend that sits on top of the stock lidless airbox base and then into the TB. hardcore.

unchargeds setup is probably the best way..

        mine was somewhat custom..

        it not a huge deal..

all we had to do was
        1) get a 3.5" 90 degree silicon elbow and put hat on the tb going strait to the ground

        2) take the old pipes, cut the tb side off..
        3) attach a new peice of mandril bent pipe to the end that we cut off that pointed to the outlet of the blower..
        5) weld it all up..

there is a TON of room in there to play with.. so its not a big deal..

uncharged can you email me the pictures as well? i am jsut curious as to how RK did it? kain4567@aol.com
