I looked into this before turbocharging my firebird with a remote unit. It could be done
with two small turbos and the turbine inlet facing upward towards the engine directly after the header. A single would probably mount a little lower in the chassis but as long as you have good ground clearance there would not be any problems. You can even use a decent size A/R ratio to make sure that boost comes on at a decent RPM. This should be done with a really crafty mandrel bending and welding expert, but it
would be a great project!

the reason no one has done it is because of the oil situation. You need a sump since you dont have gravity and why the hell cant you fit a turbo between the engin and radiator?
if you dont wan to atempt forward sweeping headers just do an under the k member y pipe to the turbo like tiago's kit

Right, but Mocal, Reverso, and Engine Gear all make the sump pump that will work for this application (wish I had thought my remote kit over). All that would be needed is a mock up
Y-pipe and a lttle ingenuity. Any muffler shop could make it. It would be cheaper than what I
made because you have less fabricating. It does not hurt at all to try. I still like how Tiago's
kit mounts. In the end all would work well with the proper setup.
