• Supercharger Questions - brackets , pullies, etc

Hey Guys, you never saw my name on here b4 so you know i'm a newbie but anyway, I was wondering if it's possible to get the diagrams of the bracket for the Procharger 2.0 kit or if someone could tell me where would be good mounting points for a supercharger. Also, where could I get the pulley Stefan has on Virus. Also whats the formula to calculate the fuel usage concidering all the V/E , MAF numbers, etc.?

if you look down on the forced induction page and open up the "Vortech V1 Installation pics" you will find pics of all the custom braketry for his custom kit ,which i plan on using to start my own kit, this should also give you a good idea of where the best place to mount a blower is. thats all i got for ya now. i am also asking for some info on the braketry so if you find anything out let me know.

Thanks alot T-punk those pics help alot. If i find anything cool out about the brackets I'll let you know. Also in the pics do you guys think that those mounting points are solid enough to hold the 50 or so horses put on the belt on tight?

well i talked to the guy who was making the kit and from what i understan the only weak point in that setup was the idler pully. he told me it would shake a little and he wasn't quite happy enough to be "done" with the kit. he is an aircraft engineer so i think he knew what he was doing. im pretty sure the braket holding onto the s/c is plenty strong enough. oh and i may be getting the bracketry from him soon so ill email you the measurements if i get them (or see if i have enough spare aluminum and make you a copy cause its always good to have another blown car around . but im pretty sure it is strong enough.

I think the CIA headers are awesome. I love them, they look good, it was a no hassle install(still hard cuz of the bad angle but good for no bad suprises),and combined with the magnaflow (i put it all in at the same time) it makes a mean sound.I went from 15.7 to 15.2 with the exhaust, which is the CIA headers and 3" everything. I'd say that they're the best, not that I had any other headers. But i've heard about leakage on the RK Sport ones. The CIA are very tough too, the metal is prolly an 1/8th inch thick. So I'd def. recommend them.
