  • Selling my Powerdyne Supercharger

Well, I thought I would never have to get rid of my supercharger, but it looks like I might have to. Wife was laid off over a month ago and it doesn't look like she will be getting a job anytime soon. Unempolyment just dosn't cut it when making a 400k house payment and other bills. So I will be taking some pics this weekend and will be posting it up on ebay with some other stuff. Here is what is going to be in the kit:
Complete kit with the fmu and trc-1 timing controller, also a new 90 degree oil sender adapter, 2 new dayco ploy cog belts, turbo x blow off valve, a 2.6" grooved pulley and a 2.25" grooved pulley from ASP racing. I just had the supercharger rebuilt by 928 Motorsports about 5 months ago. They did the venting, shimming , and put in the racing bearings rated at 60,000 rpms. That was 980.00 total. I also replaced the input shaft and sprocket which was 220.00. I will also send with the supercharger a extra belt and regular bearings for the supercharger. The kit is set up for 95-97 years but can be made to fit 98-02 by cutting the discharge tubing. I also have a hole predrilled for methanol injection in the discharge tube. The only thing that will be missing is the K&N filter, which I'm using. I'll post the ebay link once I get it all set up with the pics.

Please let me know when it will go on ebay. I'm very interested!

Wow man!! You're breaking my heart!!

I really wish you wouldn't. You've put in so much to your car and the SC. I really wanted to see the final end product of your work by hitting the track. I'm sure you would have made 12 sec.

I understand though. My wife lost her job too and she just got another one. It doesn't pay much compare to the other one. Our bank account went down really quick. I wish your wife the best.

Oh well. You're the "BEST" among us PD. Good Luck.

                Re: Selling my Powerdyne Supercharger

Grayman, thats what I feel like. LOL

The only thing I could sell would be the 2.25" pulley. I wouldn't want someone just putting on a supercharger to blow up their engine or something else for that matter. Even with the 2.6" pulley they should get well over 10 psi to 12 psi, if not more. I was seeing 10 psi on average and that is with a blower cam(VS Cam from ZZP). I lost I think 1-2 psi when I installed the cam. So if someone wants the 2.25 " pulley let me know.

                    Re: Selling my Powerdyne Supercharger

Call ASP Racing and tell them it is for a 3.8 powerdyne unit with a 8 rib pulley with grooves. You can get any size you want since they make them when you order. He might ask if you want steel or alm., He always told me steel would be best since it won't warp under high heat.

                              Hey Steve,
                              You have HPTuners, right?
would you mind emailing me you pcm file to look over? i would like to compare your tune. You have 36# injectors and a cam and stuff. I think it would be a good file to compare to. TIA.

Good luck with the sale. It does make me sad. I hope everything works out for you though. g
