Oh and you need to get that pcv mod done asap....I didnt and I learned the hard way. Dip stick flew and oil went into engine bay and done my exhaust and k-member......sucked so much
Re: After Supercharger install....Oil leak/Burning Need some help!
Ive have this problem every time I change my oil, it leanks onto the Ypipe for a few days then goes away...Im hoping its nothing major, but I need to know if anyone else has experienced this.
I seached and GreenGlow98 had this problem, but never updated his thread :-/

Re: After Supercharger install....Oil leak/Burning Need some help!
convert the engine to forced induction. until you do you should not put the engine into positive boost. period.
i know a guy that has a whole website dedicated to the L36 fbody powerdyne. you should check it out. i think he has a powerdyne checklist too.
i noticed in the pics you posted that an fmu is missing. since you just put the sc on i am assuming you do not have aftermarket high # injectors that are properly tuned for the sc. that is another reason to not put the car into boost.
we are not joking around here. FI is serious business.
have you changed out the plugs? ngk tr6 @ .035?
do you have a fuel pressure gage inside the car? i see one in the engine bay but that is not preferred. you need a FP gage (as a minimum) inside the drivers compartment so that you know the FMU is working.
Re: After Supercharger install....Oil leak/Burning Need some help!
Yes Grayman, Ive been to your website before. Its been determined that for 6psi, you dont need the FMU. I have searched and searched and researched. This is my second time being Supercharged.
The FMU is going on today however :-D. I will be doing the PCV mod today after I get out of school. On the way here, I kept it below 2600rpms in order to try and stay out of as much boost possible.
Plugs are fine, I have had the NGKTR6's in for a while now. Yes the FP Gauge is inside the compartment, I will be going to a dyno day in a few days, so I will just moniter it there. Ill also be spraying the car :-)
The only problem, Im running into on the FMU is where to hook into the vaccum line. There is a line that is going to the throttlebody, and its a strong vaccum. However its a hard plastic line, not a soft vaccum line.
Can anyone point me into the right direction as to where I can tap into it at?
Re: After Supercharger install....Oil leak/Burning Need some help!
um, one of the biggest supporter of 'no fmu' on this board has blown two engines i think. perhaps that is unrelated.
under boost (6psi) my fmu kicks in and the afr drops to 11.3. my stock injectors run at 125-147% duty cycle at wot.
with no tuning nor bigger injectors i will always recommend the fmu. nothing personel.
(nobody has sigs anymore so i don't know who has what, etc, on their cars.)
you have an angeled throttle body so you can tap in to the engine vacumm at the throttle body. remove the stock connector from port on TB and replace with short section of hose. add a T fitting to that hose. reconect the stock connector to one end ot T and the FMU to the other end of T. Put a one way check valve between the FMU and hose. Not good to have FMU see vacuum. The use of check valve is detailed in RKsport instructions as well as instructions that come with FMU's. i ended up using a multi sized T and trimming it to fit becuase the stock vac line connectors are different diameter than normal vac hoses and and the barb on the fmu.

Re: After Supercharger install....Oil leak/Burning Need some help!
FMU is on, PVC Mod is done, no more leaking oil, I crawled under the car and it seemed to only ONLY on after the middle header outlet to the back of the block, no higher than the head. So I was thinking the oil pan or somewhere the block meets the transmission...
Car pulls much harder with the FMU now too for some reason. I also got a 2.85 Pulley from ASP, but its nothing like I have seen in the pictures. Its just like this one...

cant tell much in that picture. it does look real fat, though. is it an 8 ribbed pulley?
i don't see any horizontal grooves on it.

Re: After Supercharger install....Oil leak/Burning Need some help!
not sure why you told him '8 ribs' but that's too bad. bummer.
also too bad he didn't catch the mistake. maybe it has been a while since he cut one of our custom horizontal groove pulleys. on the other hand, '8 ribbed pulley' is a standard thing for many SC systems that run on their own belt.
I know it cost you money but i wouldnt try testing that pulley. it could act like a pasta cutter on your belt. all that tension and speed and resistance....shredomatic.
