You run out of gear....I would suggest 3.73s or 3.42 so you can stay in high boost longer...I have 3.73s because I can get off the line quick..viper has 3.42s
i took about two weeks to ask this question at different boards and ran some searches
GN guys run slower with 3.73 then they do 3.42
is not about gear or running out of gear its about turbo load.... more load on the motor = more exhuast gas' = better spool and more stable boost becuae the turbo stays spining at the high RPM it needs.....
turbo car need a trans-break or a perfecly matched high stall verter to lanch under boost and this make's up for the lack of gear.

I'm running 3.42 and I love it. I would brake torque it before launch and build up the boost. And I would be spinning the tires all the way through first gear. I usually get almost every car out there off the line.
